Congrats on your lovely finish! 🎉 I love your blue tit book mark, I stitched some going back a good few yrs and sold to raise a few £££ for our local animal sanctuary, still have a few I need to fully finish.must make a point of it. I enjoyed your update as always, I hope you enjoy the WI , I remember that drama ‘jam and Jerusalem’ I enjoyed watching it back in the noughties! I don’t think we have that here in Northern Ireland. Here in the States our weather is like a daily rollercoaster; 20 degrees (F) this morning... and tomorrow forecasted to be a mere 2 degrees! Glad to hear that you're exploring the WI; it sounds like such a lovely community collaboration. Thanks for a tour around the infamous bead box... the mind boggles at all of the cool, interesting little crafting goodies that share your space. Well done finishing The Bookshelf it's great. I love the Bluetit bookmark chart and can't wait to see it made up. Whilst watching this I was having a rummage through my 3 drawers of very neglected x stitch and maybe I will have ago at something this year. I find it harder now as I can't see it very well but I maybe getting a new magnifying lamp. Out side our house is still like a skating rink despite the that.

Lovely finish Ally, thank you for enabling me to stitch this project when you first showed it a wee while ago. I really enjoyed it. I like gold beads so wanted to add them in somwhere and that seemed a good place. Funnily enough I was thinking of gorillas..... Great finish Ally. Start the year off right👍. When i first came to Norfolk twelve years ago i joined local WI. Sadly it closed a while later. Its such a shame there are so many people stuck at home, many lonely😢. Malta is the only place i would love to visit. My partners( safly paased in October) father was stationed there for a few years training their troops and Queen Elizabeth visit them. Have a good fortnight. Stay safe🤗

I am all caught up now. I have only read one Jane Austen we did Northanger Abbey at school. The others never really appealed to me. I keep thinking I must rectify that. We saw the new year in with BBC ALBA . Hope you have better year than 2024.

I enjoyed this update, and loved seeing the kittens. I love all the things you’re working on too… have a nice day on Christmas however you intend spending it, it’s stressful time for many, it’s only one day and passes quickly..spoil yourself and be a bit self indulgent..you have your lovely kittens for company. Here’s to a better 2025 health wise. Like yourself, I’m going through the mill as they say .. it’s not easy. Take care and see you soon x

But if it needs to go into the beginning of January - that is okay too. Where do you get your bone fabric (or what brand is it - Zweigart?) You are always in my thoughts and prayers honey. Oh my! Nantucket Rose is a blast from the past. I stitched that up back in the 90’s. I believe it was a Lavender and Lace pattern and it was a kit when I stitched it. I gifted it to one of my college instructors whom I became friends with. The Bookstore design is beautiful, I like that ! Also just an aside: be very careful with Wandering Jew (sorry …a bit politically incorrect these days) both purple and green varieties because they are toxic to cats. I sadly got rid of all mine when I found this out. They are beautiful plants. Now I grow all African Violets which are safe. 🙂

Ohmigosh, no pun intended but you are such a stitch to watch ! It would be so fun to get together with you over some tea (imagine how we could ramp it up with some whisky in that tea!) and stitch all day and chat. Unfortunately I am across the pond in Milwaukee, WI. So will have to make do with videos. (Unless of course my husband, who is from Glasgow decides he wants to take a trip!)

Oh Ally I just love your visits. You are so natural, just like a professional. First! I am very impressed with all of those sweet house finishes. Once you get going (finishing the small you mentioned) you could move on and finish a pillow or two..that first step is the hardest!😉 Second, I am so sorry about all of those doctor appointments…and mistakes! Getting old is not fun.. Sending you a great big hug and fingers crossed for a pillow finish soon.😘

Ps….can we please see kitties……I’m living with 7 month old tuxedo boys …..one of which is pretty naughty!
