At this my only concerns have to do with Wemby’s health. He finished play pro ball in France, then went through a complete NBA season, and will do the Olympics, before going into the next NBA season. Hopefully, he is taking care of his body.

If they start the next season the way they finished this year and progress like they have since the All Star break I can see them at 44 wins and a possible play in team

drafting for shooting should be the last thing, it has to come from the development of the players while we focus on defense minded players and position needs.

Im not even kidding, if you watched him this season you know how stunted his numbers were this year because of minutes restriction and his teammates not giving him easy buckets because they missed him. If those two things alone go up hes going to get a significant boost. As long as this kid doesnt get injured and he continues to progress at even a decent clip this kid has the potential to completely change the game and just from his freakish size and skillset combo he will be considered the goat. Hes that good. The media wont give him that crown and will probably try to crap on him, but peoples eyes will tell them the whole story. The kid is an absolute freak.

Wemby knows him well and likes him. Not saying they should take him with 8, but he isa friend of Wemby's.

I just disagree with this idea of magically rushing the build somehow instantly making us a playoff team right away, while Wemby is going to be the best player in the NbA if he stays healthy, we really only have 1 other starter quality player, even if we have up significant draft capital and 2 or 3 rotation guys we would basically have a roster more top heavy than the Phoenix Suns with Wemby and Mitchell or whoever the trade target is. It’s completely unrealistic to expect us to make a deep playoff run with our best player being 20 when we have so few actual nba guys on the team, and like you said multiple times, it’s not a good free agency either, I think it would be stupid to waste all our assets this year, we should be going all in on 2025 where we could potentially have a high pick again via us or Atlanta and then have that to potentially trade or use for potential returns. I just don’t see this roster as good enough, especially with the western conference being as good as it is, if this were the East where we could easily get top 4 with a team like that then I’d maybe agree but the west is too good barring a bunch of teams getting injured

Unfortunately this is not the draft, that there is a point guard prospect that can do it all. Castle, you could sell me on him developing his shot. All the other top point guards, I’m not sure I could buy them growing taller and developing the mentality and physicality to be stout defenders.

My only thing regarding any new additions to our team, is we need a point and a taller wing. We just keep drafting 6'3" to 6'5" combo guards/forwards, players that don't have much playmaking or defense abilities. A point will give us playmaking and a taller wing (that can hopefully defend) to defend against the taller wings in the league. If Castle was a true point, I'd be really interested, but it seems like he's a 2 guard wanting to be a point, don't know, but that's what I see. That's just me though.
