It seems these public service announcements didn’t help so much. The area in TN where my family lives is so trashy and many of the people too. Can’t understand why TN is so trashy unless it’s due to a real lack of education. Depressing. Europe and many parts of Asia are much cleaner.

That "4" logo here was based on the NBC late 70s "N" logo, which was associated w/ some of the network's worst years ever. NBC brought the Peacock back fall 1979, and WSM-TV had the nice rainbow colored "4" later as well.

I remember Teddy Bart, Ralph Emery, Dan Miller, Boyce Hawkins, Paul Eells, Bill Hall, and a LOT of the field reporters. I remember when we had John Tesh and Pat Sajak before they were household names. Met Huell Howser several times, incredibly nice. And who can forget George "By George" Goldtrap?! Great memories - thanks for posting!
