This video helped me out tremendously. A buddy of mine who has owned his xA since 2006 asked me to help him work on it this weekend and I encountered the same noise you had coming from the water pump. This breakdown and diagnostic troubleshooter you produced allowed me to narrow it down before he even got over to my home shop. Immediately pulled the serpentine belt and fired it up to check if the sound vanished and it did, dropped the engine mount and lifted the engine a few inches to allow easier access to the pump and pulled and replaced it and got it back on the road with hiccups.

Nickels and pre-1983 cents are the coins this Rule is meant to apply to. Just to be safe, don't destroy good zinc filled pennies. I have dug up 100's of zinc pennies that have corroded to the point of being worthless trash. My bank won't take them so they are legal tender no more, and not cents. So I toss them away(there is no away), or melt them down. What say you?

I had to cut mine as the scrapyard did not take it otherwise. I took my time, used a hammer to get the valve off... tried to flood the tank but failed. Grind the body with care and dealt with the core... it was carbon in my case. The drive stunk like acetone for 3 days but job done.

I just bought a 2005 Scion XA super cheap from a coworker's boyfriend. He actually got side swiped by a Tractor/Trailer and knocked into a ditch. It really didn't hurt it too bad. I am doing the repairs I can that are cheap or free and going to drive it. So far I've gotten the mirror re attached with a zip tie and a self tapper. I'm digging these little cars. I will probably do some repairs the right way, a little over time. Right now I just need a cheap car to get around.

@@dr.frankensteel2759 It seems like all of the parts are cheap except for the body parts. I guess it is because it was a 3 year only car. I work for a wrecker service so we always have pieces of old bumper covers, grills, things like that. It may end up with a Town and Country grill cut to fit. Lol

Forgive my ignorance, but could you not make a complete circle with just one spot to weld? I guess youd have to allow a tiny bit of corkscrew to let it roll by itself for the straight ends? Im assuming you've tried that and your halves method is just easier or ends better results? Thanks for the vid!
@dr.frankensteel2759
@dr.frankensteel2759 9 ай бұрын
The corkscrew is an easy fix if you catch it before you complete your radius. In this style roller your going to have 3 to 4 inches on both ends that will not get formed ( 3 to 4 inches still straight)

This is where you are probably ok as you stated one-time, not going to sell, etc. : (b) The prohibition contained in § 82.1 against the treatment of 5-cent coins and one-cent coins shall not apply to the treatment of these coins for educational, amusement, novelty, jewelry, and similar purposes as long as the volumes treated and the nature of the treatment makes it clear that such treatment is not intended as a means by which to profit solely from the value of the metal content of the coins.
