Just tried this game for the first time It's like, "Pay money to get the role you want" "Pay money to play more often" "Pay money to get xp boost" "Pay money after already owning the game for 100 different reasons" It's really gross

I agree with a lot of what you are saying Jim. Here’s my opinion of the current state of the game… The role list usually has a large impact on the game (not necessarily in the way it should) eg if you have 4 tpows and an amne then the game is almost won there and then. I do believe the role list should have an impact on the game (or else it would be boring) but sometimes this massive swing can be a bit frustrating for players. (A suggestion I have is to make a max tpow clause or something???). My thoughts on rit / doom (and conj) are that they have the right kind of concept there as it does force town to be more reluctant to share information (and as we all know an informed town wins games) but there are some flaws as well e.g. playing mayor, dep or pros when the entire point of your rule is to out yourself as confirmed town and do something just to be conjed, ritted or doomed the next night (dep less so as your ability is used). I feel that ritualist in specific is actually quite healthy for the game but maybe a touch to strong, the thought of a ritualist being present is already incredibly powerful but it still then gets unstoppable astral attack to kill them, I personally think a normal attack would still be extremely powerful. Doom I feel like needs some changes (as I see the devs have attempted), doom feels a bit kingmakerish as you can sometimes decide single handed the result of other people’s game, it also is very role list dependent as if you have a town full of tis then you will really struggle winning but if you have a lot of tpows / deps you will probably win. As for game balance, yes it’s not the best however it does seem that the devs are working on this (as seen with coroner which I actually feel is a decent role now) and it’s never going to be perfect - tos1 never was. Saying that roles like invest and trickster just are not fun and are extremely weak in comparison to other roles which do similar things e.g. vigi, sheriff, coroner. And as I’ve mentioned some town roles are just too strong, being able to simultaneously confirm yourself as town while also killing an evil seems ways to strong (as much as mon is considered the one of weakest tpow I feel like it is by far the most balanced (however I feel the basic defence may be excessive) ). I think the dc issue has been reduced by the leaver buster however it will never be solved as people will always do this. As for the throwers, that is definitely a large issue that needs addressed, if anyone would like to share a report that went through to ban someone I would appreciate to hear it as I currently haven’t heard of this happening so far. Overall I still enjoy the game most of the time, same as I do tos1, I just think some tweaks would make a massive change. If you managed to make it to the end, first of all I’m impressed, second if you have any thoughts I would love to here them or if you want me to expand / explain any of my point I would be happy to talk about it more Thanks for reading lol

Regarding the comments about leavers at around 16 minutes, the game does have a new leaverbuster system that punishes you for actively leaving games. The tiers for this look something like: 1 game = 5 mins timeout 2 games = 15 mins timeout 3 games = 1 hour timeout 4 games = 3 hour timeout 5 games = 6 hour timeout Beyond that idk what the times are, but you reduce your punishment tiers by just playing more.

For Framer, they should be able to change their target’s investigator results to whatever they want them to be as well as make them come up as suspicious. For Jester, I think the change should be 3 nights per game you can frame yourself in case they get checked those nights. Finally I think mafioso should be a killing role that the GF can’t use as a puppet and they can kill every other night and basically becomes a poisoner.

Mafioso every 5 nights gets a power up.

I feel the Jester should have the ability once per game to role block a player, this could do wonders for everyone.

For exe, I think if they successfully hang their target, they should get the power to kill one person at night, just like jester. Gives them an extra little ability to encourage them not to go afk and gives them the potential to change the course of the game a bit, depending on who they choose to side with.

One thing for consort could be "Visits don't show up to spy" as consort you have very little wiggle room on your claim, and if there's a hidden spy in the game and you try to claim escort you're done for, the spy knows where you went. Not sure about esc.

Why no jugg or coven

with this esc could find witch easily since they are rb immune. (I have never seen a witch claim trans, esc or veteran)

Wouldn't it be great if disguiser was able to disguise non-mafia? Messing with results of investigators, sheriffs, and most importantly, spies. If it can change the name of the visited player, it could be a real game changer.

honestly,i think jailor should be able to execute as much as they need if they dont exe a townie in different modes,for exemple,in all any most part of the town is evil and you need 4 exes just to get rid of maf,w also possible arsos and stuff,so,my change to jailor would be to add a 4th exe on ranked games and in all any he has infinite exes until he exes a townie
