So beautiful, such sympathetic playing and interpretation. If I had any, the hairs on the back of my neck would have stood up for sure.! How do you bend those notes so accurately and with such control? Partial covering of the holes (half tones/quarter tones etc) or is it decreased air control? Or maybe a bit of both?

A beautiful air, beautifully played. I have that exact same whistle, it doesn't sound so sweet when I play, and it's not just the reverb patch(!) Great stuff, great embouchure, great air control - thanks for this!

This is by far the best rendition of this tune on YT and the one I'll be using as my template. Other musicians incorporate far too many grace notes (twiddly bits) which detract from the wonderful basic melody. With this performance, less is definitely more.

@keesaalbers8228 thank you so much. The backing track is one I found online and just put it through Audacity programme and lowered the original whistle. I will try and find the link for you 👍

Hey Shaun, what a beautiful lament and what a gorgeous rendering of it, full of expression and emotion. I would love to learn it myself. Is there sheet music for it anywhere? Google doesnt seem to know this lament by that name.

Shaun, do you upload regularly? You're slow air control is awesome, ornamentation is perfect in my novice humble opinion, could you play the lonely banna strand, rare request maybe, reason being i heard a lady blasting it out, and reminded me of you. I'll never get tired or bored listening to your unique version 🇮🇪

Got a busker mezzo low A recently, it's a beast too, the sleeping tune by tinwhistler is near heavenly. I got the jist of it, some tune brother 🇮🇪

How do you think the wild Bb compares to the Killarney Bb? I kind think the other sounds a bit more flat and the wild a bit more clear. Do you know the difference?

I am learning to contruct little flutes in bamboo of river and i am in good way for results. I have liked very much your music and i have tweetted with you without flute.
