There is so much wrong with this movie you just have to unplug your "reality" sensors and accept it as a "what-if" scenario. In many ways it makes me lament we can't fire those big 16 inch guns anymore, lost good men the last time we tried. The Iowa's, the Bismarck/ Tirpitz, the Yamato/ Musashi were indeed hammers meant for Gods, wielded by men and all but lost to time & remain in memorial, a memory of those among us who could dream big and forge those dreams into a terrifying reality. Like the Saturn V rockets, it's unknown if we could replicate this feat today. We'd have to start from scratch and it's unlikely we would take this route in the modern era of Jets firing missiles from over the horizon, & subs carrying nuclear torpedeos.
