WOW, looks light a blast to fly. Can you mount a couple of SAMS or Sidewinders on it. A 50mm cannon would come in handy as well.

No it can't. Breaking the sound barrier would require a lot more engineering effort. Others have tried and failed (BD-10), etc.

Please bring these back to sell to the public GA world. This is literally the only aircraft I care to own in my aviation career and pleasure flights. Currently own another plane I love but would sell in a heartbeat for this.

Boeing didn't like it so had faa pass some impossible regulations to shut them down. Flying is safe for a few at the cost of millions of peoples work and money. You get what you pay for, all that fuel, all that gravitational potential energy shouldn't be safe, they make it safe but at the cost. This energy is conserved.

Why not use a turbofan -- it might push out the range considerably?

It certainly would help the range, the problem is the cost of the Fan engines vs the current engine....A bit of a compromise

I suppose the ultimate ViperJet is possible by someone who kept his eyes peeled for an amazing deal on a Williams FJ44. However, I heard 10 years ago Williams would not cooperate with anyone unless they were certified and on "the list"

around 350,000 for the kit. pretty cheap for a jet. around 3000 hour build time depending on how dedicated you are

I believe its around 500000 so if you get enough money to buy it, support it and fuel it. you'll be fine. (better to make your own job cause a normal one will never let you see it)

There is one that was built and is sitting ready to fly with some minor needs to prep for flight. My guess is 600-800k and he would sell the Viper Jet.

they continue to support the existing planes but are not likely making any additional aircraft
