Had the Wigmore hall album, really good shit man, always wondered why Julian Joseph never did better than he actually did as I saw him the closest thing to Oscar there was....the US probably didn't, I dont know...

Beautful! So grateful to have learned of this opera. Gutted I did not see the entire performance live. I wonder if that would be possible if the whole show was filmed?

Ah, a wonderful talent and indeed the only living pianist worth hearing in England! Why you ask?,....Julian Joseph is the only living pianist who has progressively absorbed the history of Jazz! This history involves the VALUES & TENETS of Jazz as created by Jelly Roll Morton, Armstrong and Ellington. It's very important to not just state the above, but to at the very least provide the elaboration that many others, current pretenders all, ONLY have at best two-dimensional "attributes" going for them. THEY know who they are, but they'll never tell you, it's bad for business! My name is Eric Blachman.

James was a friend of mine while we were at Richmond College. I'd often meet Julian and James on the train on my way there.

Great to see Adam realized his potential as a first-rate professional guitarist. I was privileged to have played with him at school in London -back in 1982!

Enjoyed listening to and watching Julian Joseph and his band, which included Mark Mondesir at Brecon Jazz in 2008. Both guys had a tremendous rapport, copying each others rhythms and beats. Only wish they would come to Wales again.

do you have the rest of this concert, or at least the version of caravan from it. I had it on vhs for a long time but sadly it is no more.

I was a teenager the first time I saw this concert on television. It was some sort of late night TV show about jazz on Croatian television and I recorded it on VHS tape and I remember watching it later many times, over and over again. The time has passed, don't have the footage anymore but still remember the Ntuli Street, Caravan and especially Marcus Miller's The King Is Gone... Beautiful concert!
