This arrangement beautifully captures the true spirit of America as the new world Evoking the feeling of being in a tranquil place, almost outer space, it captures the true spirit of Memorial day, where one remembers those who ended up in a fight, few of them actively sought. In fact, given the fog of war, acts of heroism and passion, just as greatly misguided judgement are usually found an both sides of the conflict. To me, this piece is a thoughtful reminder that between all those battle hymns we can be grateful to be less often confronted with life and death decisions. In this time of peace and prosperity, we are well served to show our gratitude to those less fortunate ones who came before us and had to face much harsher conditions America is still this fantastic experiment, where the decision between war and peace, where the decision to serve and sacrifice lies in the hand of the people Every other nation in history sooner or later lost their strength, lost their belief, and gave in to kings, oligarchs or dictators. But not the USA In short: I'm deeply moved by what I've heard in this video, thank you for sharing

It sounds awesome, its sound reminds me a lot to Charly Garcia, a very popular argentinian pop/rock/folk/tango/ etc musician from the 70s/80s. He did an extensive use of this glorious intruments. You can look for "desarma y sangra", "cancion de 2 por 3" "ojos de video tape" "los dinosaurios" if you want to hear some great piano tunes played with this instrument.

Your tone is much more like an acoustic piano in the louder more energetic parts and sounds much more like an electric piano in the soft passages. , it’s very interesting how the cp70 can sound like an acoustic and electric piano without changing any settings.

Thanks Matt! That's the tough thing right now. How to be creative and lead effective and meaningful worship in an online format. I've also got a Rhodes Mk II. Such beautiful instruments. I was really tempted to bring either that or my Wurlitzer 206, but I ended up just sticking with the CP70M.

This reminds me of one time when I was in college on the worship band. One of the members of the band hated 1980s music. In fact he always said that the best thing to come out of the 1980s with him. And so one week, myself and a few of the other bandmembers decided we would do the songs that we had already planned for and practice up for that week in a 1980s style. So I brought my Roland JV 1080 along with a Yamaha DX seven module. We used a newer model Simmons electric drum kit, so being that it was a Simmons it had the old analog Simmons SDS series kits in it so we use those. Are used a couple of classic piano sounds on the 1080s piano board. Are used a few from the old Roland RD 1000/MKS 20, and that expansion board happens to have a pretty good CP 70/CP 80 sample on it also. So anyway, none of us said anything to the other band member. Until we just started playing and we were opening with 10,000 reasons. And I think I played the first few chords and he explained something like, what?! We didn’t record any of our worship or anything that we did, but that night I wish someone would’ve been recording. But ever since then, even when I would lead worship at our church after this, I very seldom use just a standard grand piano preset in my cord workstations that I have. I either use something like the old SG one or the M1. Or even still some FM stuff from the DX7.

Wonderful having the melody played on the pedalboard! Some Apollos seem very harsh but this one has a nice warm sound---probably thank to the player's evident skill. Many British churches had Apollos till fairly recent years.

Thanks! I really like pulling down the 4' from the great for melodies in the pedal. It is quite warm and full sounding. The Apollo organs are really quite nice instruments. Very well built, and a nice sound. A pretty good amount of color differences for a reed organ as well. I know they only made 360 of them. It's amazing that some of them were still in use somewhat recently.
