@alcerdemon9768 I guess in this case they hit a jackpot by caring about Burgess 😂 but I agree, Teach's career itself began by killing his own crewmate, he is definitely no Whitebeard, so Sabo could have killed Burgess and easily gotten away with it On why they look so worried, maybe they're more curious to know what Burgess is talking about since he sounds so dire, probably don't care what happens to him 🤷‍♂️ Such a well written set of antagonists, I think they're really cool

I understand Burgess hating the revolutionary army for what Sabo did to him, but why would the Blackbeard pirates care about what the Revolutionary’s do? Are they just in it to cause mass chaos to every entity organization in the world?

They are opportunitist. They can attack everyone to gain something from all factions. Imagine the amount of weapons, valuables and also secret information they get to steak by attacking Revolutionary base of operations.

Spoilers..... Considering how Koby was supposed to be their bargaining chip to make Hachinosu a WG recognised country... I think capturing the Revolutionaries leader and No.2 would give them an even better chance at doing it. Could have been the same as the Ace situation where BB became a Warlord using Ace. I think BB wants access to Mary Geoise and by becoming the King of WG recognised country, he can attend Reverie and enter Mary Geoise

I can't tell from the editted clip if Dragon is annoyed about hearing so much about Luffy's exploits, or if he's a jealous that his son's been making bigger waves in the world in the last three years than he has in the past 20. (Yes, I'm counting the 2 year interim because people were still talking about them even then.)

That's not the first time luffy is using the haki, he already did it long time ago, against wapol in Drum island, when he's shouting to him.

I'm a big One Piece manga nerd (15 years weekly under my belt) and I just re-read Drum, and nope. It'd be cool if he did but it's just panels of him yelling with intense shading, no signs of Haki in those instances. I can buy Shanks' stare in chapter 1 being Haki, but this'd be the first time I've ever heard of Haki in Drum, sadly it wasn't true.

@@ZackstaDaxta The problem with One Piece, is the fact the story is so long, and Oda is unveiling things progressively, the haki became something we really got to know, kinda late. Oda is a foreshadowing master, so I really think the haki was something we encountered since the beginning, with Shanks saving luffy. Even the giants in little garden, are already using the haki at the end when they split with luffy's crew. Observation haki also was used in little garden, when one of the giant predicted the fight to start again, even before the volcano which is the signal, started to explode again. The probability in Drum, is possible, but only Oda is capable of answering such things.

@@jingorooroad2559 We agree on some things here and disagree on some things. I think I see where you're getting confused. I'm *only* considering the manga. I see in the anime Dorry and Brogy had glowing weapons. I agree that: Oda is a master of foreshadowing. That Shanks' glare in chapter 1 is Conqueror's. I disagree that: Haki was introduced late. The correct translation of the chapter where Blackbeard is introduced has Blackbeard saying "I knew that kid's Haki/willpower was too high for him to only have 30 million." Viz as usual botched this. Early online translations were correct.
