Why is it that tongues don't edify the church while prophecy does? The reason is, the church can understand prophecy which is absent in listening to tongues. What is absent in listening to tongues? It's understanding. So, understanding is connected to the work of edification. Now, if understanding is the reason behind the edification of the church, then understanding should be the reason behind our own edification also. He who speaks in tongues edifies himself. How can we be so sure that the speaker doesn't understand the tongues he is speaking? I know a woman who understands her own tongues. She doesn't understand every syllable. But, she understands what or who she is praying about. Recently, her husband played an old KZbin video of Kenneth Hagin where he spoke in tongues. She heard the utterances while she was resting on bed and gave the interpretation before Hagin interpreted it. Well, it was the same interpretation. When I pray in tongues, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful. This doesn't mean that I don't understand. I can understand what I pray. But, without interpretation, what I understood is unfruitful coz it's not benefitting anyone. My understanding is not bearing fruits because of not interpreting the tongues. What would you say about this, Sir?

I here it’s like baptist Calvinistic flow which sadly 😢 there’s no revival in that as they believe some people are born to be children of hell 😢😢😢 no way there’s opportunity for all souls especially through the power of the Holy Ghost ❤

God wills that ALL people be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. He desires that none should perish. That's what we believe at Connect Church. And we are praying for revival!
