There 2 wonderful Star Wars projects that Disney has made that I really enjoy. Rogue One and The Mandalorian. That movie and that show (mostly Season 1 and 2) were amazing and what I consider to 2 of the best things that to cone out of Disney Star Wars Saga. I still need to see the final season of Clone Wars and the entirety of Bad Batch, but I heard great things about those shows. At first I enjoyed The Sequel Trilogy, but over time I started to hate it. They screwed up my favorite character Luke and bs'd how the Palpatine survived. But since George Lucas doesn't claim The Sequel Trilogy as his movies, I view that trilogy as not canon. There was great Star Wars content right in front of me, and I didn't realize it. It's time to seek out the Star Was Expanded Universe.

My two cents on Disney's Star Wars management: they didn't know what direction to give to the saga, and every direction was feared would displease the public and therefore kill any possibility of getting something from that purchase. Well, I think these two points are the main focus, the reason why Disney's Star Wars are bootlegs worthy of Turkish cinema. Lack of courage (or, at least, inability to rely on Lucas's original idea for the sequels/based on the novels released in the 90s) and absolute will to capitalize as much as possible. I'll get the second point out right away: it is the sacrosanct right of any company to recover the capital invested for a purchase and make money on it. I think we all agree. However, what is already noticeable in The Force Awakens is a servile sycophancy to the rules of the market, much more than what happened with the original trilogy: just think of BB-8, a rounded version of R2-D2. This droid is already beloved, let alone a smaller version, which rolls quickly and can even say "ok" with a lighter. The same goes for those marine mammals in TLJ. I mean...heart is missing. And you can see it everywhere: the plot of TFA is an almost exact copy of ANH, the aliens' design is embarrassingly lazy. The relationships between the characters seem to have been written with the sole purpose of placing the cool character on the cereal box and force-selling it to you....see Phasma. The first point is strictly connected to the second: there is no spark of creativity (in a positive sense, while in a negative sense we have plenty of it), nor is there any coherence with what was shown in the previous films. A character can do things we have never seen in six films, but we have to accept it for some mysterious higher law. They didn't reunite the original cast for a single, miserable scene, you even get the impression that Ford went on set, cashed the check and grumbled that he didn't want to return as Solo... and, speaking of the characters, no one gave me anything on an emotional level. Not even hate, for that matter. The only thing they left me with was indifference, or disappointment if you will. I draw a veil over the music: in 20 or 30 years, we will still be here listening to Duel of Fates, The Imperial March, etc. But I bet my remaining penny that no one will remember Rey's theme or Kylo's. I don't blame Williams, but maybe there's a reason why even he couldn't get anything good out of this trilogy... even in the worst chapter of the prequels (Attack of the Clones) there is wonderful music.

The Disney movies are just rip-offs of Legends material anyways. The sequel trilogy stole from Dark Empire and Empire's end. Except without Palpatine in his peak who whupped GRANDMASTER Luke Skywalker and made him his dark side acolyte bitch. Solo stole from the Han Solo trilogy. Which explained his origins and the fact that he had siblings and was ancient Corellian royalty. Boba Fett and Mandalorian were based off a literal shit load of Boba Fett comics where he escaped the Sarlacc, became the Mandalore, and worked alongside a Jedi. The High republic stole from the Killik invasion, the Ssi Ruuvi, and the Old Republic games. Rouge One is a rip off of the Force Unleashed with Jedi Survivor stealing the other half.\\ Outlaws is a blatant rip-off of Star Wars 1313. Ahsoka stole from Jedi academy with Ahsoka being a less interesting Kyle Katarn. Acolyte stole from... Take your pick, there's like a million Sith lords in Legends. Kenobi HAD multiple adventures after his exile, multiple girlfriends, and fought A'Sharrad Hett who would become Darth Krayth The only original idea that came from Disney is Andor. And even then its open for debate. What annoys me is that many of these fans are noobs who don't read. I mean reading is for an American like sunlight is to Vampires. No thanks to your parents. But still...

What no one seems to understand is that Disney wanted to pretend that the prequels never happened. The first line of TFA should tell you that and if in Disney's eyes the prequels didn't happen then there's no chosen one prophecy and bringing back Palpatine so he can die at the hands of Rey isn't lore breaking. We all know it is but the rich kid putting out his fan fiction and calling it canon doesn't see it that way

To try and compose a video with this selection of people is uninformed and naive. It misses the point on why, by whom, and what portion of the fans did the bullying. In the case of the actors from the Lucas era, most of the bullying started with or came exclusively FROM THE PRESS and THE INDUSTRY. You've missed a bunch of actors like Natalie Portman, Daniel Logan, Terrence Stamp, Liam Neeson, Ray Park, Ashley Eckstein and even the Lucas family including George himself. An actual video of this subject would be 6 hours long to try and honestly explain the complexity of these events and the histoy of Hollywood against Lucas, starting on 1977. This video and the way you've presented it answers to a narrative Disney has been trying to push, that their products don't suck, that they're at the artistic level and craft of Lucas and that their failure it's the fans' fault. Lucas not having a complete plan was understandable because when he started, he had no idea how successful it would be. Disney knew from the beginning that they'd be making a trilogy, so had no excuse. Also, having the same one person (Lucas) running the show helped keep the story together. Unlike JarJar and Ruin Johnson who were basically squabbling children arguing over how to play with their toys.

A lot of the Modern Star Wars Fans would obviously deny this, but even before Disney bought Lucasfilm and by extension Star Wars, the fandom were already some of the biggest problems when it came to Star Wars. Not all fans in general… just the toxic ones. The Phantom Menace used to be considered one of the worst movies of all time by not just critics… but also Star Wars fans who grew up in the 70s & 80s. Ahmed Best did in fact say he considered committing suicide after the hate towards him for playing Jar Jar. Even when fans hate a Star Wars movie, there are still gonna be those Toxic fans who harassed the actors who worked on the movies & shows.

Had George Lucas actually did directed Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi instead of letting somebody else take his chair to do the sequels of the first movie, he would’ve made the Prequel Trilogy in the same length of praise as the Original Trilogy. Also him viewing the movies made simply for 12 year olds is the reason the Ewoks and Jar Jar were included, and how the films themselves are quirky in tone, is understandable considering Star Wars is a lighthearted film series with dark themes and ideas.
