I never allow any validations or setting required fields on create. You can set them as required in the forms in JSM because that is as you say in the browser, but never in the backend. Not only will it mess up API's, it will affect automations, clone, move, Jira Product Discovery creation will not work if this is on Epics, email tickets will fail...and I think it also messes up the Virtual Agent as well. So it is a big no-no for me, and I have written policies for this to ensure people understand why. I also do not think the tool should be a teacher. If the users don't understand how to fill out the forms, then perhaps the form need some work, not the tool.

Thank you for your videos. I am new in Jira and I am now learning Groovy. I believe that even if you can use chat GPT to generate the code, you still need to learn Groovy so you will be able to understand what each line of code is doing and to explain it. So the first requirement maybe is to learn the program first and then use chat GPT to as a secondary resource.
