Storytelling is a little boring? Well, the whole doesn't have to be one big slugfest. I appreciate the comparison to John Byrne early in the video ... but you mentioned him a little too often, considering he had nothing to do with the book.

Perspective matters. I get now that because you didn’t read these at the time, you don’t like them. Dale “Key-own” was one of the best. Look at the awful art in Iron man or Cap or Darkhawk, that was standard at the time. Also, this cover is amazing in the context of the years long story Peter David was telling. You’re missing story elements as you only focus on the art.

My favorite Image comic back in the day. Julie and her harsh demeanor being this self-defense mechanism is such a 'typical' (clinical) response from all sorts of people dealing with trauma. I can't think of a single Image female character in other books that had the depth and pathos she did. Cyblade 'the hot chck', Wanda who Spawn is always crying about, chick in a thong in Savage Dragon, whomever else in those Extrame books? By a wide measure, I'd say Julie is the best (actualized character) female Image character from this time.

Appreciate the correct pronunciation of McLeod’s name but cringe at the Mc Far Lane pronunciation throughout. Todd pronounces it Mc Far LIn ~ so I’m not sure where you’re getting your version from.
@Kingcomics20214 күн бұрын

@@Kingcomics2021 ok, but McLeod you pronounce correctly as Mac Cloud - clearly having researched it - so I had to ask why when Todd starts every video he does saying his own name as Mick Far Lin you wouldn’t have researched that. Great videos - a lot of respect, just think it would be good to get his name right like you did for McCleod.

But seeing Hulk and Betty just kinda hanging out and talking was a nice change, helped show Hulks "human" side.. And the very end when Betty makes the joke about Hulk and others at a gamma monster meeting, she actually makes Hulk laugh! And it felt good! Really miss Dale Keown's art, he drew the best Hulk imo. And of course Peter David, probably the best Hulk writer of all time.
