I only just started watching the video, but I'm already gonna assume you didn't struggled much in this run. Everyone are praising steel and fairy for being such a good types, but I think Water have a strong case for being the best type overall. The only types that resist Water attacks are Grass and Dragon - both of them are weak to Ice. And conveniently for Water Pokémon, nearly all of them are able to learn Ice moves.
