Well I tell ya's.... I first made a fun energy video for ALOTO using Def Leppard's Personal Property. All fine and good but it was totally missing the emotional tug this movie has every time I've watched it over 30 yrs. So I set out to find a suitable song. Didn't take but 2 seconds to know what I was looking for was already built right into the movie. This version of Carol King singin Now & Forever LIVE is somehow way better than the studio recording. Unreal tone & delivery in her voice that just pulls the feels right out of ya.

Ballads had something in the 80s and 90s. Even the cheesy ones felt like there was authenticity and a lack of pretence to them. This was a pretty standard ballad for its time, but since music is so awful now, it’s become terrific by default.
