You are an amazing teacher honestly. The way you break the question by helping us to differentiate between presenting and priority problems helped me pass the LMSW. I came to this platform to express my sincere gratitude, you're highly appreciated. Thank you!

I test Thursday. This is my first time watching a SS video. I have been doing okay on practice exams and questions. I just got all these wrong. I’m feeling very worried now. I haven’t seen any questions like this where every option seems viable

For the first question, let's say that the medical student is homeless gets thrown into the mix of presenting problems. ALL of the other problems still remain. According to Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, would addressing the need for shelter take precedence over addressing the substance abuse? TIA!

For the domestic violence question, I thought it would be D because the chidren witnessed teh assault so that puts them at risk for danger? Please explain
@emmasmith590317 күн бұрын
I thought the same thing, I will probably still put answer D in these situations unless anyone can explain otherwise?

Witnessing abuse is completely different from being abused. This is a very black and white test. It's the answer were D, they test would have made the presenting problem very obvious

First off I really enjoy these videos and I am super grateful for them because I already feel more confident about taking the exam in the near future! But I have a question about number 8. I see why it's D, makes perfect sense. But say in the moment how do you best respond to the client in a professional way? Because I mean, quoting the NASW to a client would be odd. That doesn't mean much to them as it does to us. So what would a professional say to the client? Then after the session, how does the Professional handle the situation? Because I don't know about you all but that just doesn't sit right with me. Thank you for any response, I appreciate it.
