Around 1910 Floyd Clymer and his brother attempted to drive an EMF car on a long-distance trip from Denver CO to Spokane WA. The car was mostly reliable, but due to the rough roads, the transaxle broke 3 times. The first two times the factory sent parts and a mechanic to install them. When the car broke in the same manner a third time, the factory decided to end the experiment, and shipped the car to Wyoming on a flatbed railcar.

A very old man told me in snow weather that they would wrap old ropes around the spoke wheels for traction! Interesting but he is long gone!

I recently seen a restored 1910 Chase model D at the NE classic car museum. It’s a real treat to hear one run. Thanks for this video. I would love to drive one, but that’ll probably never happen. It must have been amazing to live in a simpler time of cobble and dirt roads where life had a slower pace..

Lovely to see an owner who is willing to take it on dirt roads. This is of course what it was built for.

Wow! Not a wiff of exhaust! An obviously well put together engine.

I love that you take it off road. Many people forget that there was a Model A before the T . And it can do 35mph. Wonderful 👏

I have always thought the model N was aesthetically the most pleasing of Ford's designs. Much nicer than the T.

People say that the model T is simple. And while that's true, I see the model N as the simplest car made. It gets you from A to B, and it's just.....Car Overall, 7/10 car

The jazz is applicable to the period of the car, but I would much rather hear the engine myself! I had heard of the Ford model K car but this is the first I had seen a Ford N car! I bet it's a real joy to drive!
