You can either toggle key frames to animate the opacity under stroke from 100% to 0 to make the line fade or you can animate the stroke width to 0 with key frames as well.

Not sure if this is a bug with After Effects, but the pen tool can't be placed on certain places of the composition. There have been times where it works and then it doesn't. To better explain... I can place pen tool markers near the null object, but as soon as I try to place a pen marker far away from the null object, it won't let me. Any thoughts? Thanks.

I’ve had that issue from time to time. I’m not 100% sure but it has something to do with how the scene gets solved. I USUALLY remedy it by using a longer clip with some more movement. It’s like after the area of movement is solved, it creates a viewer window and it’s well within the actual work area.
@hiblendmedia
@hiblendmedia Жыл бұрын
@@DerekLesterGolf I figured out the fix for this. On the 3D shape layer you need to change the orientation values a bit until after effects lets you place a new point. It seems like there are limits of the 3d camera angles that prevents you from placing new points in certain areas of footage unless the camera orientation is repositioned.
@ASliceADay

When i go to select render points it tells me under the red circles "No depth from a tripod solve" what does this mean?
@DerekLesterGolf
@DerekLesterGolf Жыл бұрын
It’s the part at the beginning I was trying to explain. There has to be some movement from the camera so it can determine depth. It’s possible the clip you chose might not be long enough, or maybe there isn’t enough movement in the footage for the program to determine the distance from all the objects.
@ASliceADay
@ASliceADay Жыл бұрын
@Derek Lester Golf there is plenty of movement. I've done all the steps but now I can't seem to select the correct render point.

@DerekLesterGolf

@@ASliceADay hmmm. Without seeing the footage and your process, it’s difficult to guess what the issue is. As long as you followed the tutorial and made sure to copy the location of the 3D object, and it’s in the same spot as the track point you selected, then it should give you at least an attempt to track. If you want to e mail me the the clip in question I can take a look at it and see what happens when I try the same thing.

Enjoyed your video. I’m looking to book a long weekend trip with 16-20 guys this fall. I would like to find somewhere where we can play 3 different courses and stay on site with food and a bar. Oglebay looks like a nice place, would you say it would accommodate my needs ?
@DerekLesterGolf
@DerekLesterGolf Жыл бұрын
I think if Golf and hanging with the boys is your sole focus then Oglebay is great. There is limited night life, if that's something your group is into. Meaning that if you wanted to be in a more club like atmosphere then you're looking at a 25 minute uber ride into Wheeling, and to be honest, Wheeling isn't much of a nightlife place at its best. I will say though, there's a great restaurant and a few bars on site, but everything is more chill. The accomodations are fantastic so no complaints about the room and whatnot. The Palmer course and the Jones course are fantastic. The par 3 was fun and free to burn an hour. The only other course there was their "executive" course, called the crispin course. My group did not like the crispin course very much to be honest. Overall definitely worth it, given the things I just noted.
@bradbonar1306
@bradbonar1306 Жыл бұрын
Oglebay would work. Wheeling kinda sucks tho not much to do to see night life or drinking wise. Few decent places. Jones and Palmer course is fabulous. Crispin is hilly and it kinda sucks. Their par 3 is a joke. But oglebay has bars and restaurants and the lodges and cabins are nice. They have a nice driving range anddddd we got a cabelas. It's our main attraction LOL. Restaurants my fav is char house in Bethlehem in wheeling I'd look at the greenbrier or even Rocky Mountain gap casino and resort also

You might better use the free plugin thicc stroke for tracing the golf ball. In your case, you use taper, but it tapers already when your trim path is only at 10% for example, so it tapers already at the beginning. With Thicc stroke, you get a more realistic taper. You have to use thicc stroke on a solid layer in stead of a shape layer. Check out this traced bunkershot with thicc stroke: kzbin.info/www/bejne/j4aTmn-Nm8qUfbM Good luck with your channel... make more videos...

More involved, tedious, and advanced technique there. Involved after effects and duplicating your line then just observing the terrain and drawing it by hand. Not very practical honestly. More of just showing that it can be done.
