Looks like awesome fun, why does desert brush have to be so damn scratchy though.

any width issues with full size truck? I hear there is section where you have to fit between two trees, very narrow.
@LongWindFPVАй бұрын
It's been a while so my memory of the trail, exactly, is vague. If it helps, the only full size trucks I saw was parked at the entrance next to trailers that bore their SxS. Before going on this trail, I watched other peoples video of Barracks and do not recall seeing a full sized truck with their groups.

nice drone footage, were there any obstacles or tougher spots along the way?
@LongWindFPV2 ай бұрын
@@vbtom thank you. While flying, I was caught off guard a couple of times with the ground coming up faster than expected. I just forgot that we’re climbing in elevation while the drone’s still flying straight. Towards the very end of the video which I edited out, controller said I had reached max altitude. I didn’t see that coming although I knew that setting was there, I completely forgot it was probably set to default.

There are two spots n this trail that are both tight S curves. One is through the woods. The other is a combo S curve with 4 feet deep trench on the whole S curve. How you made it through both with a full size truck I wish I had it in video 😂

You’re welcome Paul. We really had ourselves quite a safari. Didn’t we. First the very narrow curves at Maggie Slot Canyon then, the narrow winding trail with major desert striping on the way to Gold Bug’s mountainside cliff descent. What an epic ending for year 2023. So, thank you guys for having me ride along.

It is a very quiet area. What I didn’t show in the video was reaching the cove at the end of one pass. The cove is absolutely beautiful and serene and you can only get there from a short hike. So many other places to see. One famous landmark is the stripper pole next to a tree named Bra and Panty tree 😂
