Why don't manufacturers go all the way and make racer models powered by real engines and set up for tether running. I'm sure well healed old guys would spend $1000 just to have a functional model. An alternative would be similar electric powered RC racers.

Doung 500 laps is not guaranteed they have gotta finish, and it depends on who is reliable.
