We bought a 1979 Datsun 810 2 door coupe (2.4L inline 6 with EFI) in early 1980. It was the dealership General Managers car and never titled so sold as new but at a discount. Approximately 2,500 came to the USA. Drove it to nearly 200k miles and sold it for parts in 1991. It was a GREAT car.

@stevenherschbein3021 I knew they had EFI version but didn't ever think they came with 2.4! I assume automatic.

Original fenders had mirror blank on them as far as I can tell. Tag confirmed model also. Did you have one?
@dazaspc3 ай бұрын
It is using an Aussie Made Grill from a local 200B. The Coups were all fully Japan made. They were quite a bit more expensive than the Local cars when brand new. My BIL was going to buy one but ended up with a 4 door as my sister got Pregnant. If I rememeber correctly it was about 2K more and the only real difference was the IRS and the twin carbs. As for Fender Mount Mirrors it was an option on many different brands of Jap cars in Australia. It wasnt popular though and most were removed when they got into the second hand market. They would have been more popular but were hardly used in rally as most kept to the 180B for weight.
