He has always been my biggest Hero in Traditional Irish Music and when they say " never meet your Hero", that definetly doesn´t applie to him. So gentle, kind and witty, just impossible not to enjoy the company of this man. Without him, the Story of Trad Irish Music would definetly have turned differnt. Thank You so much for this Interview.

The most humble man I ever met..I first met Michael at a set dancing session around 1966. A gentle genius..Musician and dancer..not forgetting his late wife Celine who was also a beautiful dancer. Thanks very much for recording this clip.

Thank you so much for this wonderful interview. What a lovely, lovely man. Believe it or not, we've been dancing The Priest and His Boots with Michael and Céline every Saturday here in Hawaii.

The last one "Love Henry" is close to "The false lady" for the theme and even the lyrics. The melody of "The false lady" is different, very lively, at least in the version I know (Karan Casey / Exiles returns). Very much enjoyed the video !

Jack and Billy McComiskey played a few tunes at a party at my house years ago. And I once had a nice conversation with Fr. Charlie at the Old Songs Festival. Great memories.

Lisa is amazing, points out an uncomfortable truth for Ireland they played a major part in the British Empire, history is never black and white, Cheers from an Anglo Irish as so many are.

The ITMA along with TG4 are national treasures and I feel very privileged to have access to such wonderful music sitting in my lounge here in Melbourne, Australia. Shades of early De Danann in those tunes. Mick Conneely a worthy successor to the late Alec Finn ( RIP ) Go hiontach ar fad !
