You said that you only get driveshaft changes at the transmission end. The problem with that is that you'll get the diff not changing it's angle inline with the trans and one end of the drive shaft with have severe velocity fluctuations in the rear of the drive shaft causing excessive wear and heat. It will snap. Basic automotive engineering is keeping the differential pinion angle in line with the transmission output shaft angle unless you have constant velocity joints in the drive shaft rather than universal joints. Know what you"re taliking about before you put it to video.

I bet it sure looks nice up close and in person. I'd rather have a Super Lasernut than an X-Maxx. It just looks so nice and performs like a champ. Great job on the video.

It seems to work pretty well , you do have to think about were the tires are a little bit , it can stall a little if pitched

Red Cat needed to ditch the fancy screw washers and focus on your own printed insert to add to your RTR. I say that because buy simply offering cheap metal beadlocks and decent tires, printed insert made by Red Cat. Tires already vented from the factory.. 90% of the performance from any rig is literally, weight up front, Inserts and tires. It's so simple. Lol Just charge more.. charge the extra 50$ The metal beadlocks will be Ali Express cheap but who cares. Better stock tire and insert made by the company itself.

Why is the fusion so expensive with all it comes with still cant climb 🤦
@angusframe7102 ай бұрын
nah on some grippy granite rocks it can climb crazy angles especially if you mount the battery at the front and some other small mods

This was more of a test of SKILL, and tires and foam. Definitely NOT a fair way to judge the competency of a crawler by any means. Fun video though

I agree wholeheartedly. I cannot help feeling that palpable bias against that Asian truck from the get-go. It had to fail. It was clearly being driven quite carelessly, without MUCH input from the others as the guest driver was getting. Oh well.

Hi James, loved this video. I have a Gladiator like yours and I am working on link geometry: what's your take on it? I see the skid has 3 positions for the rear lower links, and right now I am staying at the bottom spot, but there are two slightly higher ones, like a triangle shape. I know there is no substitute for field testing, but I thought I'd ask if you had messed with any of the geometry on the Gladiator: link length, positions etc. for both front and rear. I am asking because I know you do know a lot about geometry and other features most don't discuss enough...I have enjoyed your content on the Hammer Rey mods, geometry etc. - I have learnt a lot in general, from bump steer to overall desert/rock racer tuning. Thanks for sharing your knowledge, it made a difference in comparison to all the other videos I've watched, and I mean it.

I have not been impressed with anything Losi has made the last lasernut was a flop this is a $800 dollar flop as well DBlx a money pit, the new buggy trashed already about the cheap gears .
@rcbreakdown30665 ай бұрын
Git to admit, with Losi its hit or miss. I agree with you about the cars you mentioned but the Baja rey's are solid as are their racing buggies.
@DoubleClutchProductions4 ай бұрын
I have a few of the vehicles your talking about. Too much brand miopics in RC and fanboy brand loyalists. Rc content creators do a terrible job representing products these days. The real problem these days is upgrading RC or how I like to explain downgrading reliability. All the major rc channels just throw upgrades and promoting it. Leaving these cars stock is the way to go for reliability. I can't speak on this new laser nut as it's unproven but Losi is one of the most reliable RCs available.
