Nice, both of these builds seem pretty interesting! I'm especially interested in trying out the one with Mutate just cause I think mutate is neat - I tried to build a full-on mutate deck awhile ago but it was 5 colors and I didn't have a good mana-base for it. Also, the switch at the end was great 😂

I made this deck for 30 bucks and it’s one of my more powerful decks. Just put all the 1 drop birds and focus on the plus one counter trigger. If you hit all three opponents that’s three counters per combat. 6 if you have double strike. Making your commander the primary card draw engine makes it so you can’t put as many counters on your creatures so I prefer to only use his trigger for drawing cards if absolutely necessary.

I see that they dont undestand the power of ygra, it makes creatures on artifact, you have another layer of interaction like haywire mite, naturalize, cards that destroy all artifact like creeping corrosion or fade from history, cleaning all the board except for ygra because its not an artifact, give him a bounch of counters and kill someone with commander damage, and they cant defend or interact with him. Also use rottenmauth viper, good card.
@DeckDoctorsEDH4 ай бұрын
@@ivancho7805 we did mention that all artifact removal becomes a pseudo creature removal in our deck tech. One thing to note, however, is haywire mite does not synergize with this strategy as it exiles non-creature artifacts. It’s still a good card, and possibly still worth adding into the deck, but doesn’t quite do what we want it to do in destroying our opponents creature/food
@ivancho78054 ай бұрын
If you have nuka cola, and an opponent sacrifice a "food" you dont get a treasure

I'm still new to MTG so I'd like to ask, what pack do you reccomend for beginners to get so they can build their deck?
@DeckDoctorsEDH4 ай бұрын
@@rustiesoulgaming that’s a tough question to answer without knowing what you ultimately want to get out of the game. But let’s assume that you’re a new commander player (based on the fact that you’re watching our channel) if you want to go with sealed product, I would encourage you to look at preconstructed commander decks. They are a great jumping off point for new players and something that can usually stand the test of time. They also give you a shell to build off of if you decide to upgrade or retool the deck. If you’re looking to buy sealed play boosters or collector boosters, that’s probably not a great path for a new player to start towards building a commander deck, it’s expensive and you’re never guaranteed any good cards or cards you would want to play. If you’re looking to build a deck from scratch, buy singles, it’s the cheapest and surest way to get the cards you need and want. Hope this helps!

Great video! I've been thinking about creating a Kastral deck after pulling a raised foil. Please create more videos like this. Also, just a suggestion, since you guys are "doctors", how about explaining the problems that this commander could possibly face and how the build could help the commander overcome those problems? And then maybe rate the commander and the build based on the power level and how enjoyable it is to play with. :)
@DeckDoctorsEDH4 ай бұрын
@@rieslifelog thanks for the feedback! We’ll definitely take that into consideration. It’s always hard to nail down what’s “fun” for people to play. Every person enjoys the game in their own way, we really try to build powerful decks that anyone can take and build around to make it their ideal “funness” level. I would encourage you to build that Kastral deck, take a look at our deck lists and pull your favorite cards and fun synergies and make the deck your own!

Have you got a version with evasion, removal, plenty of artifact/ enchantment buffs, 1/1 token soldier/ saproling/golem creation and wins through damage or possibly Toxic? Also, why don't I see Illustrious Wanderglyph or Tendershoot Dryad in there?
