Could not be better! It's a shame, that such a song does not get much more likes.

Some people do, what they can, others can, what they do! Julia Othmer is a rare gem! In a fair world she should have some millions of followers in my opinion. Unfortunately this world obviously is not fair at all...

Real musical pro's are pro's, independent of their KZbin ratings! Wonderful version, could not be better! A rare gem for the ones, who have discovered it here!

Never liked this song, apart from the White Stripes version, but this one is awesome! You really capture the essence of songs and make them to your own ones with your interpretations.

The very first song, I heard from you, was "All Along the Watchtower" and in a blind test I most probably thought, that this was Grace Slick with Jefferson Airplane. But this one is even more intense than the original. So smooth and powerful at the same time. WOW!!!

Such a masterpiece! John Lennon applauded, if he heard this, I think! Must be years ago, that I started weeping while listening to a song, but this version really goes so deep inside, especially at the end. Wonderful!

You have one of the most erotic voices, I ever have heard. Not in this trivial, pornographic way, but the opposite, almost like some celestial, unearthly, usually hardly reachable energy, which came down to earth through your unique voice, performance and intensity from within, which touches a (maybe even already forgotten) longing deep inisde the listener. In a positive way seducing the audience fully dressed much more and in a very different way than some half-naked wannabes usually try on stage alone with the voice. This alone is a rare talent and art by itself. Nakedness of the soul in some way and so much intensity even in the details and intimacy, therefore a very personal and courageous thing as a performer. The risk maybe, what is a (female) artist doing, if after such a performance the complete audience has helplessly fallen in love with her? How does someone then manages to keep enough distance again, without destroying the created illusions, so that it does not turn into personal disappointment of some fans? Light and shadow of your unique "magic", I would say, but maybe my impression also is wrong and no problem at all for you. Discovery of the year for me and great, that so incredible artists still exist and do their own thing, apart from the commercial mainstream. Thank you for doing, what you do! This is really putting some more lights on in this world! Especially in a world, in which meanwhile hardly anything works, as it should and most probably even becomes much worse globally.

OMG! Most probably the most wonderful and most unique cover version of this song ever! Pure intensitiy, keeping the essence of the song and even improving it with such a unique interpretation can only be defined as masterpiece in my opinion!

A beautiful rendition! It's a real treat to hear you sing in Kernowek. My area has a major Cornish influence and I was able to briefly visit Penzance and Camborne in Cornwall this past summer to study their industrial history (and eat some saffron bread and pasties!). I hope they are able to continue efforts towards revitalizing the language. Hope you've been well. It was a pleasure meeting you last winter.

“There is a kind of sadness that comes from knowing too much, from seeing the world as it truly is. It is the sadness of understanding that life is not a grand adventure, but a series of small, insignificant moments, that love is not a fairy tale, but a fragile, fleeting emotion, that happiness is not a permanent state, but a rare, fleeting glimpse of something we can never hold onto. And in that understanding, there is a profound loneliness, a sense of being cut off from the world, from other people, from oneself." Virginia Woolf

@juliaothmer I live just outside of Atlantic City NJ... I'm a huge Dylan fan... I'm from the late 60s...from folk to rock and I saw almost everyone. I saw Lou Reed and the Velvet Underground in 68 in the Trauma Philidelphia with probably only 25 people across from the Electric Factory. You never know who will become famous. I like your sound. Everybody goes through changes and that inspires...and life energy is recognized and celebrated... Best of luck to you all (I imagine that you're in LA ? ). If you ever come my way, I'd love to see you all. God bless; time moves quickly; do what you love, and life will always have heart and character... be captivating, interesting, fun, and worthwhile. 🧡🧠😎👍🙏🇺🇸 !!!

Julia Othmer, a unique voice and real talent, takes U2's guitar driven classic and gives it a new dimension: instead of a stadium rock epic she offers a fragile prayer that makes your eyes wet. Unbelievable version, loyal to the original yet almost like a new original song. 🙏

🔥 DARKNESS 🔥 ON the rise I see darkness On the rise Governments officials and history books Full of lies Homeless laying in the streets No bed no pillows or tucked in sheets All across America I see money grabbers Said the thug to the thief I no longer see young kids out riding bikes Or in the warm spring wind flying kites Just children on their phones And most of them living in broken homes What will happen I’m afraid to see Now that no one believes That the bible holds the key 🔑 That the bible holds the key 🔑 DLT

From a 1960s psychedelic out - of - control teenager to a burned out bottom - of - the - barrel, soulless 20 year old Vietnam veteran then 28 years US Army Ranger, Special Forces, decades as a contractor in many many countries spanning 5 continents, I’m now in my late 70s and I still have the same reaction when hearing this performance; a flood of memories, stunned silence, tears, overwhelmed by deep internal sadness.
