I just started bird feeding seriously this summer. I thought the red cardinals the males would be my favorite however I have grown attached to the Blue Jays. They seem to be so intelligent and clever. I finally put some shelled peanuts into the hanging wooden feeder today and they loved them. I saw someone toss them and they literally would catch them in the air. I have a pair that come almost everyday and I love how they look at me until their head and are clearly checking me out. They don't trust me yet enough for me to get too close. I'm hoping that that changes soon. I also of course do love the hummingbirds and today stood about 1 ft from the feeder and two of them came in for drink. Soon I think I will be able to use a hand feeder for the hummingbirds and that will be a blast. I am going to continue feeding them all year round and today bought a heated water basin. Do you rate beneath your feeder I heard that germination can be a problem in the summer. So many people say that they are mean and nasty but that has not been my experience at all. Thanks for posting your video I really loved it.

The blue jay is amazing to look at, and their colour tones of blue and white are striking. But their voice, their caw, is like nails on a chalkboard. They screech.

So sad that the young ones have to take their first migration alone. Nature is so amazing!

I love birds (ALL birds) more than any other creature on this planet. I have had the honour of having birds in my life that love me. There’s just nothing like it.

When i was a kid, i saw 2 bluejays jump a robin and knocked over its nest and down fell the robin eggs. Very territorial and brutal but yet beautiful birds

Absolutely blown away by The 5 Production's short film! It brilliantly showcases each person's unique contribution from pre to post-production. The use of still photos for credits is genius, and the leading actress's performance is exceptional. Kudos to the creative and entertaining cast credits too!
