Le chauffage de la boule pour démarrer, c'est du cinéma pour les gogos, ces modèles avaient une bougie et un vibreur et démarraient très bien à froid.

As many others have said, it sounds great, and wicked, like it would pull anything attached to it. Also, great looking restoration. It's one of the best I have seen on here. Air cooled is great, as long as it can get air to, it and freely through the cylinder fins. You don't have to worry with water, or antifreeze, or the lack thereof. It's an old engine so guessing the horsepower is probably 500, or close, and the torque higher, the personal, vintage sewing machine was a great touch.

@@clausmadsen6754 I'm sure you are correct. I sure would have thought with 19 L displacement and sounds like over 2000 rpm, when opened up, it would have considerably more than 200 HP. If it were a 6 cylinder, 9.5 L, 150 to 200 HP is what I would expect.

@@wmden1 I’m also a bit surprised but the sign on the engine says 200 HP and the title of the video says the same (chevaux is French for horses). I believe these engines were made to power small trains were hydraulic motors powered the axles. These V12 Deutz engines powered the oil pump supplying the hydraulic oil pressure. So the Diesel engine was designed for extreme reliability and longevity… hence very low stress setup and low power rating

@@clausmadsen6754 Thanks. I understand. I should have looked a little closer and gotten a translation of the tag. The 140mm stroke would make for a lot of torque, but not necessarily a lot of horsepower, at 1500 rpm. I know I loved the way it sounded when he revved it a little bit, whatever the case.

Old engines has no fuel i jection Pump thats why even what you could do its torque has slow in constant becouse the fuel entered to the compression is less am maybe that is usefull to the generator when you add a fuel injection pump to maximize the power torque of that engine
