For the 2024 RTL (I am sure all 2024 models with the heated grips) You can actually adjust the heat of the grips from handle bar cluster (including turning them off/on). However, there are no settings for the heated seats, you still need to use the buttons by the key.

Random bits... perchance the accessory is a Garmin Zumo XT? My 23 F3T mirrors suck. They are too low and my elbows block the view. You have to move your head and take your eyes off the road to see. I am experimenting with a set of Big Eye handlebar mounted mirrors. I just sold my R1200GS. Best bike I've ever owned. Age and balance necessitated switching to a Spyder full time. I think having important 'riding' functions (heated grips, etc.) controlled by options on a screen is a GIGANTIC safety hazard. That is why I will never own a Tesla. Just my 2¢. Ride on, keep your eyes on the road and stay safe!

Thank you for anothet post Chris. You should not listen to those who say you post to often. What you can do is a strategy of when your posting. If ita going to be 3 times a week, make it rarher happen at 4pm on Mondays and Thursday, 10am on Saturday's, rarher then randomly. Algorithm picks up on that. I really like the superview as it make things look as if we see it through your eyes, however as some people say, it distorts the horizon, maybe just a setting. I use the cameras if Insta360, so cant really say anything about the gp cameras. What I could say is, that the wide is good, and that you can change it for variation. Food for thought. Mr Beast is one of the biggest youtube stars, he changes camera angle on average once every 0.8 seconds.

I will do a complete look at how I use luggage and what I pack, but it prob won’t be for a few weeks. I did a video on the Chase Harper Tail Trunk bag that I use for my back seat or trunk rack. But my driver’s seat lifts without having to lift the passenger seat.

I'll go with wide view as better than super view. Superview gave me a little bit of a fish-eye lens effect with things slightly distorted. And though I'm not sure it is the right words, slightly disorienting when you are turning you head to look around. Wide view seems more natural.

This Nana finally got her Spyder Rt 2024. I love it. I've had it for a week now. I've never owned a motor bike of any kind and at 72 I'm living my best life. My husband rides a 23 Road King , however he has been riding on the back of my spyder instead of me riding behind him lol. He is very impressed with the spyders performance and also my skill at handling it. (Thanks to the multiple videos I ve watched from you and Coach Bob3 and Fearless Faith) . I did a lot of research and it has paid off. Thanks again for all that you do to help us newbies. God Bless and safe travels.

The throttle assist, I had one on my honda bike and kept in when I traded for the Spyder. It seems to me that the throttle turn is so much greater on the spyder than a bike that it was more in the way than helpful. Seems you have to turn the throttle on a can am a lot further to accelerate than on most bikes.

A slice of Americana at a uniquely Canadian place (Timmy's as it is affectionately called here) on July 4th; you can't make this up! That was special. Wide is a lot easier to watch. Happy 4th Chris!

You neglected to mention on the audio test, that the volume automatically increases as you accelerate from a stop and automatically decreases as you slow to a stop.

I think wide view is best. Super view makes things smaller and you get less detail. Not sure what the audio test proves except louder is louder. Let’s go wide.

@taebert3 күн бұрын
Chris, I think I preferred the wide view. The super view provided a wider field of view, but at the expense of horizon distortion. That wide view combined with the distortion was a little disconcerting to watch as you panned from side to side in that little town. BTW, I saw that you you were on US 219. I was on that in PA just a few weeks ago. I only headed as far north as US 6, but I think it goes to Bradford. Anyway, I enjoyed the video. Thanks for taking us along on the ride.

You’re doing the vlog so now you’re playing with the settings you should select the view type. I use mostly Insta360 cameras because you can get multiple views and 360 coverage. More options then a Go Pro. Go as wide as you prefer as long as stabilizing is in effect and it’s dewarped (insta360 term) so the shot still looks square and not “tilted”. Wide view looks more natural
@rockymtnbri2 күн бұрын
Same here with using an Insta360 now. I gave my GoPro Hero9 to my niece. BTW, Chris, FPS is frames per second, not feet. ;)
