You can also use the HX Stomp as an audio interface to run the TONEX app I made a video showing how to configure it all kzbin.info/www/bejne/qWfTiJSIfq-Gg9Esi=hFNwOF6MMu2jkM8Q

So I'm not really a guitarist but I keep one around for recording purposes. I was never happy with the tuning stability and thought maybe I made a mistake buying the lower level Gibson Les Paul. A friend turned me onto Sperzel locking tuners. But after watching your video, I'm not sure it's worth the $150+, and the $75+ labor cost of taking it to my local shop and having them install the tuners. Lesson learned Don't buy Gibson guitars.

I just picked up one of these used in 100% immaculate condition for $400 CAN. To your point about the E/B strings being a touch high. Obviously cutting the nut a little is ok BUT just an FYI that the bridge has 3 micro adjustment allen key screws that will adjust the saddle up and down. Counter clockwise will lower it in tiny increments. Great, great sounding guitar and will be using it as a working pro!

Own Both of them. A MIJ Trad 60 Rosewood and an AM Pro II Maple. I don’t bother thinking that much about tone but feel of the thing. Almost every time I pick up the Rosewood strat I start a Frusciante Lick, an if I pick the maple I immediately go Hendrix Voodoo Style. I am amazed how people just come up with BS stuff like “that is better”.

who actually played the solo on the album? just wondering.

Tommy Emmanuel is always saying if you're gonna play the style he plays you've absolutely gotta use a thumb pick, and I think the only reason people don't is that it's fiddly and you've gotta get the right one. I've tried on and off for years.

Nice solo, but I'm more impressed with that guitar. I just love it ... can you tell us more about it. Was it modded, has a real old school look to it ... please elaborate .. thanks.

the song was written by John Stewart (Not Jon Stewart) and the Monkees had to change one word from "Funky" to"happy" in order to record it.

Suggestion. If you will think chords (arpeggio) (1,(3b -3),5,b7) and some chromatism. It is much easier to learn it. Works for me - And I hope it is same for everybody.

I play music with neighbors and this tune comes up a lot. I've always strum-faked my way through it, but it never sounded John Denver's lovely tune. This gets a lot closer. It's definitely going to take some time but will be well worth it. Tyvm

I have to Kemper Rack ever since it was released and now have the Player on order. I figure that if one have a midi controller then one could get by with the limited slots for effects by switching presets… only question I have is if the loading of new presets is fast enough?
@guitartoneSA14 күн бұрын
Changing presets on the Player is instantaneous just like the Stage or Remote. For exra switches check out the M-Vave Chocolate four switch midi controller...about $35.00.

@@guitartoneSA Thank you… that should remove most limitations of the two pre and two post slots then 🙂 I already have a midi controller, the Morningstar MC6 Pro… 👍🏻

I always keep losing the thumb pick when i try. Are there any upstrokes or alternate picking using a thumb pick? Or is it only down strokes?
@TheGuitarFam19 күн бұрын
Yeah, I had to downsize from a large to a medium and use a lighter thickness to use a thumbpick for alternate picking.

This is just what I was looking for, in my opinion the "thinking" part is the most invaluable thing about this! I love the side diagram of what scale/ chord position we are in, it helps us improvisors know where we are meaning we could put our own stamp on it! Subscribed!
