I'm thinking about this because I wante a sport bike but I don't think my parents would like me getting a sportbike so this seems like a better option to try keep them happy as possible

The top speed is more like 60-70 mine only did 60 (I'm not heavy) but you can change the sprockets easily to alter the top speed and acceleration. :)

I haven't taken this bike off road you may want to look at the R rather than the x version for that because it rides higher and also has the knobbly tyres. My bike had Michelin pro street tyres on it so it would have been tragic off road. The xt is quick for a 125!!

Yes it is but to be honest you don't really have much choice because most 125 bikes (all yamaha 125's definatly) have the same engines and gearboxes to will mostly behave the same. I have been riding geared bikes since I was 10 so I adapted pretty quickly to this it is very easy to ride!

How would you rate this bike for someone who is starting out on a geared bike? I have a Yamaha BWS125 scooter at the moment and I want to change up to a geared bike. Would this be a good choice for a first?

Hi, I find the bike great arround 9 out of 10! I baught mine from a frind who needed money for car insurence so I got mates rates! The no petrol gauge shouldn't be a problem as there is a light that comes on at reserve fule (when there is 2 litres left) so there still should be a good 50 miles left in it. For buying advice I would recomend this bike. If you do stray away from Yamaha I would avoid bikes that arent from quality brands! If you have anymore questions just ask and ill try to help the best I can. :)

Hello I am so close to buying a yamaha xt 125! What would you rate it out of 10 and also there's no petrol gauge right? And how much did you pay for yours?
