@@smoke-le-bloke This was slightly slower than Act 1 to make it so that DSG's Speed Demon bassline worked better in the badass feel of its rhythm. Will definitely consider this on the next version.

While I'm by no means a fan of the Buxer tracks that made it into game, I find it incredibly fascinating and really cool what a hypothetical whole Buxer of the soundtrack would sound like!

Wdym? We did a new version mainly so we could have a new section connecting it to Act 1, as well as add some other bells and whistles. Also keep in mind this is an alternate take on the stage as if Brad Buxer were to have all his hypothetical demos translated by the sound team into the game.

Brad likely composed the S3 Miniboss given it uses the same drum pattern made by him in MJ’s “Blood on the Dance Floor.” Hikichi has confirmed he composed Robotnik’s theme, however it’s unknown who composed the other two. Given that they both use instruments from Cube Corp’s custom sound driver and that the S&K Miniboss uses a similar structure to Flying Battery Zone, it’s possible they were also composed by him.

There was a theory among an old group I was part of that Minami was actually Setsumaru, since he was the one who did a lot of the post-1103 cleanup for the soundtrack as a whole and arranged all the different variants for specific jingles.

Since Jun and Sawada denied working on this track and this was made before Howard’s involvement, Kashima is the most likely one to have composed this.

The haunting bassline, PSG and bells, combined with the aggressive rhythm, smooth chords and somewhat melancholic lead make this one of the best fire level themes I've ever heard
