Okaaayyy... a Swede here. On a nice day I would call this a "Scandinavian inspired reasturant". It is a very long way from Swedish food though. The most authentic thing you tried was the akvavit (Aqua Vitae, the water of life). Every nordic country has it, but there are many variants. Should be served icecold, directly from the fridge. All the other food you tried, nope, it is not Swedish. Torched gravlax? Well, it is one way to destroy the original taste. You eat gravlax cold, and if it is well made it truly melts in your mouth. Skagen came close, but I assure you it is nothing compared to when you get it directly from the Swedish westcoast. They are the masters of Swedish seafood. Freshly caught and cooked shrimp is something to die for. But ok. I will be nice and say it is a good try! Well done! I do think it is a good restaurant and that the food was great! But Swedish food it is not.

Thanks for introducing us to the unique products at the Middle Eastern market. I found one in my area (Phoenix, AZ) and was mystified by most of the products. But I sure enjoyed seeing what some of the products are up close.

You nailed it. You ate soomali food with your right hand. Anyone who doesn't know, we wash our hands before eating. Sammbusa and bajiye dip with bisbaas is Somali hot sauce.

Am from southern Swden and can comfirm; relatives tried to eat surströmming but hell no. Kroppaskaka is probably more common in the North.
@benfoldsfunf45174 ай бұрын
Don't think so. Kroppkaka is most common in Småland and Öland.. In the north of Sweden they have a similar , but it is called Palt.

Bamiya I traditionally eaten with bread so you weren't wrong there. Also thank god you didn't get kissable with ful cause that would've been so weird 😅. Your technique with the bread is like nachos but you should try to maneuver it with your fingers as it is soft and can't be used to scoop the food like hard nachos. If you do this I assure you you'll have a way better experience

John 3:16-21 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
