Keith Bissell is a Canadian Composer and this is one of my favourite's. It is found in Six Maritime Folks Songs published by the Canadian Music Centre (CMC) but can be found through some Canadian music stores.

@@SongbirdFlyingSoFree thank you very much!! I listened to the Stuart M. Frank version and couldn't find anything about the song! (I'm sorry if I wrote anything wrong, I'm learning English)

@lailabokw I use the RCM syllabus regularly. It has been such a wonderful source for finding music and knowing what level it was and where to find it. You can get the syllabus online by googling RCM Voice Syllabus pdf. I do this site as a resource for teachers and students to know what songs sound like that are in the different levels. To assist students to choose music outside of lessons. And to be influenced from a recording that is likely accurate. Let me know if you are ever looking for something.

I love this musical performance of Penguin Ball. It is gentle with lovely rit. sections that keep the music moving forward even though it is a bit slower. Well done to both the singer and the accompanist! composer, Donna Rhodenizer

Thank you so much. I began to put up more recordings of RCM music when I had students come to me who had practiced songs with KZbin that were not always what I was wanting them to be hearing or be influenced by. I had a private library I had worked on and thought other people out there might also benefit. Hope you or you students have found it helpful.

I do. Did just go looking online to find you a link and it’s hard to locate. I think my copy came from sheet music plus but don’t think it is on there. There is one with flute but mine didn’t have flute and it unavailable there. If I was to send you a pdf I have I have no idea how that works with KZbin.

It really is..that back wall with the brick stuck out. It was built in the early 60s and was really well done. The stain glass in that back if just these waves of undulating colour and also quite unique.

Walking in the moonlight in a forrest glade Suddenly I saw the fairies on parade Little elephant bugles were sounding in the night Bells were softly ringing as they came inside Riding little horses scampering around Though the eye were prancing I scarcely heard a sound Like a gentle swan of our own dear northern land Fathers gently wave to the lilt of a band Then the fairy queen as she went riding fee Turned and laughed aloud I scarce but wonder why Quicly elves fairies vanish from my sight All was very still in the pale moonlight

This was a song featured in a BBC music radio programme for schools in the 1960s. It impressed me at the time. Then, couple of years ago I read the book the "Prosna Preussen" which brought back the memory and made me very aware - again - of Polish history and culture.
