Fun fact, most of the parts for the Adler-Messer were produced by Victorinox for east Germany (GDR). ;)=)

"No raining, no training!" ❤ Great! 😂 I like the shape of the RF 10 radio. Is not so heavy like our Gernan version from the seventies, SEM 35. But the quality is outstanding and sets standards.

Michael, I have the an issue with this radio. When in urban areas, the noise is constantly there in all modes. Is there a way of adjusting the noise limiter / squelch?
@petrok1rp2542 жыл бұрын
Dennis does it happen on all channels or just on specific one?
@petorian2 жыл бұрын
@@petrok1rp254 it is on all channels indeed
@michaelscoofield2 жыл бұрын
@@petorian Dennis, does it happen in all areas > everywhere you are coming and try? If the radio has still opened SQL then be noted that the RF-10 is highly sensitive. It is therefore perfectly normal that in city traffic and many times outside it has a permanently open the noise gate. If it doesn't fit to your needs then you can try to change its settings with the R401 trimmer (see schematics), but I don't recommend it !
@petorian2 жыл бұрын
@@michaelscoofield yeah, it is in an urban area. So probably a lot of QRM. I’ll first try how the noise is elsewhere.

Came here looking for info about Addler because I have their 108mm German Army Knife, I also have the one made by Victorinox. The Bundeswehr contracted the manufacture of their knife out to a number of companies. I don’t know if the steel is the same, I’ve only just got the Addler version today, though it certainly seems to be spot on compared to the Victorinox version.😁

They're not actually made of rubber. Those particular ones are made of textile, a type of fabric. Textile actually won't scratch, unless the textile is dirty.

I just learned about Adler Messer. Then I found your video. I discovered Adler Messer on eBay when I found a German seller offering ISC swiss army style knives. I have many of them that were produced by Adler Messer in the early 1990s for USA company Imperial Schrade. I enjoyed your video very much. I read that Adler Messer has since gone out of business. I also read that they were located in East Germany. Do you know if this is correct? Thank you for this video.
@kothaelser32824 жыл бұрын
This is correct. Adler is out of business. The tooling however is still in use, the Czech company Mikov uses it to make multi tool knives to this day.
