This is very important when instructing beginners. When they don't know how it should be done they will follow the instructions given to them EXACTLY as given to them. You need to be clear, and concise with your wording and clarify any potential misinterpretation. They probably wont ask the questions they need to because they don't know what they don't know. So it's up to your experience to communicate what you want and supervise if necessary

Seems like a really easy fix, take three pins out of one door, take three pins out of the other door, swap the positions of the doors and then reinstall the pins.

Build a step but drill some holes in the concrete thats there to get the concrete to give the step some more support. I dont see why that would not work it would be a low step up but could end up looking good
