Coolermaster cheap cooler? xd

I think Illuminati got a finger in Coolermasters cookie jar... look at the pcb 2:57 where the 3 pin pump cable is connected they could've added 1 more cable to make this a PWM pump?!? (available headers P. F. +. -. but only F. +. -. are connected) I wonder if this pump is more or less the same as their models with PWM function not considering the price bump. Anyone else ever thought about this??

You say this is what's inside a "Cheap AIO". It would have been more interesting to see the difference between what's inside a cheap one and what's inside an expensive one.
@owenklein1917
@owenklein1917 Жыл бұрын
Saying this AIO is cheap is misleading. It’s a very good AIO and is only cheap because it’s way smaller than a 240/360 mm with only one fan.

no wonder cooler master and asertek had a fall out cooler literary another Chinese company copied their design and try sell as their own use the cheapest nasty components. but as of 2022 they both now racing to bottom who gonna make cheapest AIO that doesn't breakdown during warranty period.

I have the same AIO, but mine does not have the screw under the rubber plug and it's also missing the plastic retaining washer from the impeller axle. It worked fine for couple of months, but it started to make annoying grinding noise. To my not so big suprise, cooler master support was anything other than helpfull even thoug the AIO is still under warranty.

use an ethylene glycol antifreeze you want a concentration of about 30% af to water, 50/50 is too thick for the pump and i dont like any less than 30 for a mix metal, the af prevents galvanic corrosion between the copper and aluminium.

Great job all around I feel like the material might lift around the analogue sticks but it wouldn't be your fault they are just awkward to fit -_-
@heid8730
@heid8730 3 жыл бұрын
Yes it will probably lift up, but to reduce that risk I used a tape primer and gave them a good amount of heat. After a few days it still looks good, but we see how it goes after a longer period of time.

i think the air inside the system should be bled or vented and the radiator to be heated / heat gunned to the cpu's operating temperature while the pump is running. the liquid will overflow from the radiator while heated and at the same time the radiator cap to be closed when overflowing stopped. this in theory will avoid leaks during operation as you filled the desired amount of liquid on cpu's operating temperature. liquid and trapped air inside the system will expand when heated especially the trapped air. your line may bulge or leaks may occur. this is not a problem on coolers with reserve tank. however, it can be a problem on factory assembled AIO. let me know if your refill method was succesful. thanks!

Better way would be to place the system in a vacuum state then charge it back up with coolant using a shut off valve like it's done in AC systems. This would guarantee no air in the system.
