Soap turns out beautifully. Did the fume that emerged after adding the lye compromise the effectiveness of the lemon juice benefits at all? I mademy fist lemon juice batch last week using 20g fresh frozen lemon juice with butters and oils. I would love to know how you make it work with the milk & yogurt. Thanks for sharing

This is actually a "cold process" soap. Yes, the oils are at an elevated temp when the ingredients are combined, but the soap is not cooked through to a translucent stage. This soap will require time to saponify, unlike a "hot process" where translucency will indicate completion of the saponification process. Still, this is a wonderful recipe, and thank you for sharing this video.

I really enjoy watching you make soap. Is it possible that you make this recipe available? Do you have your recipe for sale, by chance. I've been after a goat milk/ nettle recipe for awhile. My brother & I both have eczema issues & I hear nettle is very good. Thank you for your wonderful videos!
@hippiemummaartisansoap-bil82543 жыл бұрын
Hi Patricia, I'm so happy you enjoy my videos. You can use your usual recipe and just infuse the nettles into the soft oils beforehand. If you make your lye solution 1:1 they you can use the remaining water content as goats milk. That is the simplest way.
