This is one that I originally intended to have one of my male friends sing, but it took me forever to finalize the lyrics, so I just raised the key a couple of notches and did it myself. It's not really the strongest part of my voice, but I figured that was okay for someone who was feeling weak and melancholy and whatnot. If I wanted to sound as robust as Campbell does in his version, I would have raised it even more, but the music starts to sound really silly if you raise the pitch too much.

I did have to raise the music up a bit from the original pitch, this is pretty much the lowest I can go, lol.

@@siansoneashenanigans I think it showed up on VOCES8 YT around the end of March of this year. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did! Blake is a freakin' genius at finding the stregnths of his fellow artists and bringing that out in his arrangements!

Oh, they don't all happen quickly, lol. I have had parodies that spent literal YEARS in the writing phase. Others take less than an hour to write. It really varies a lot. The audio production usually is the fastest part, especially if there aren't a lot of background vocals. The video production takes the longest usually, unless it's a simple lyric video like this one.

Thanks Koala! Normally I would spend much more time fine-tuning the lyrics, but I figured this one would have limited shelf life, and I just needed to get it done. I also didn't do as many takes for the audio, or as much mixing/mastering as I usually do. I was like "good enough, publish!" :D
