The NFL is great too it is just a different field, different rules, and different temp. American Football is played at a slower tempo. The American style would have a hard time keeping up with 3 downs. Unfortunately, we may never know the answer unless an NFL team plays a CFL team with Canadian rules. The reason why we may never see it us because they would not want to expose themselves and risk losing star players to injury who make 7 figure salaries. As an American I love the CFL I love the players north of the border and the work they put in. There are many people in the United States who think an NFL team would destroy a CFL team. That's just not true at all, especially with CFL rules. A 20 second snap clock would definitely test American players who have no CFL experience at all. Let's remember Johnny Manziel 's first start in the CFL a 50 to 11 CFL beat down with 4 interceptions thrown and 2npick sixes. Johnny was a collegiate superstar at Texas A&M and heisman winner and a star with the Cleveland Browns. NFL stardom does not mean CFL success because the Canadian game is just a different game played differently at the professional level.

Former NFL QB Boomer Esiason made comments on his radio show in New York last year regarding Chris Strevler and his pick 6 against the LA Rams @ Sofi Stadium saying this is not the Grey Cup and if you throw the ball over the middle in the NFL that you will get picked off that this is the NFL and we have superior athletes I mean seriously . Boomer never took a snap in the CFL and Johnny manziel in his first start threw 4 interceptions 2 were pick sixes in 50 to 11 loss in Montreal at the hands of Hamilton. Manziel was all world Mr great Mr heisman star with the Cleveland Browns well guess what Boomer Esiason when you have ZERO CFL FOOTBALL EXPERIENCE ON A CFL FIELD regardless of who you are you will struggle it takes at least 1 year of playing time to pick up the Canadian game. Nobody in American Football plays 3 downs. There are not 12 men on the field disguising 30 & 40 fronts to confuse the QB. Johnny did SQUAT in the CFL and Boomer Esiason in his prime would have most likely followed suit by also doing squat until he learned how a CFL defence actually works. 9 guys do not drop into coverage in the NFL. So when NFL "experts" think they know CFL football well what they should do is either come play in the league and find out first hand how difficult it is or watch every game for a few years than open their mouth. I would have loved watching Boomer Esiason play in the CFL so he could run for his life and stop using Chris Streveler as the CFL example of QB talent. There are many others who are way better than Chris Streveler. Boomer Esiason would have seen the turf many times if he played in Canada in the CFL so rather than embarrass himself he chose to make millions in the NFL which there is nothing wrong with that but just do not assume that the CFL is chop liver because it's not.

When players have zero knowledge and zero experience playing the Canadian game and than bad mouth it I have issues with. There are people out there players and fans who swear they know American Football really well but when I mention to them fo you know who Jon Hufnagel is they have no clue. Jon Hufnagel has coached Eli Manning Peyton Manning and some guy named To.m Brady. 3 future NFL hall of Famers I am sure you have heard of them. Thanks for replying hopefully I can get on your show one day.
