Thanks for this conversation. Dowry is profoundly sacrificial, it has to be contexualised to the Bible and not left to the dictates of our cultural practices exclusively.

I come back here ever so often to remind myself of God's sovereignty and mercy and most importantly, my reliance on Him.

Thank God for the service and Christmas concert. Both are a blessing. It is a blessing to see you Daudi, my son, playing the piano along with the wonderful band and singers. Numbers 6:23-24 The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.

I searched for this church direction nikiwa kenkom nikashindwa gari za kupanda. I sent even inboxes on your fb page no responses till now. I was so dissappointed. I had to branch to another church.

We are sorry about this. 🙏🏽 There are no direct Mats from Kencom to our church. Unless you use a Boda. The church is near the hostels of University of Nairobi. Google maps can help you find our exact location.

Thank you Pastor Ted. This sermon has helped put into perspective some of the questions I have had on the seals. There are differing perspectives on the seals but today I feel more confident on the topic.

Really informative conversation. Thank you for the light. Let's see how the gospel can address those areas that we Africans supposedly feel are not being addressed by Christianity.

I beg to differ with this discussion. Generational influences have the ability to bring blessings - or curses - to your life. When making a covenant with Abraham, God never once said, “I’m going to bless you.” He always said, “I am going to bless you and your descendants.” An example of this is in Genesis 22:17-18. Abraham obeyed God and was blessed, and his descendants were blessed, too, because blessings tend to run along blood lines. Curses also run along blood lines. In Leviticus 26:40 the Lord says, But if they confess their iniquity and the iniquity of their fathers, with their unfaithfulness in which they were unfaithful to Me, and that they also have walked contrary to Me..The word iniquity means to be bent toward a certain sin. It means we can have an inner inclination toward the same certain sinful habits. Lamentations 5:7 says, “Our fathers sinned and are no more, but we bear their iniquities.” In other words, even though they may be dead and in the grave, their iniquity is sticking with you. The good news is that generational curses can be stopped today. Hebrews 9:22 tells us, “According to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no remission.” It is all about the blood of Jesus Christ. If you are living under a generational curse, it is cancelled when through faith, you appropriate the blood of Jesus for your deliverance. By the way, YOU can choose to be a blessing or a curse to your own children and grandchildren and to the third generation.

Woooooah! This one, this one right here got me to tears. How true it is to fulfil legitimate needs through illegitimate ways, how costly this is? How merciful is our God!

Where do these standards come from. They come from observations in the real world, they are explanations of these observations. And they can be tested by anyone to see if they support the claims made about them. They do not come from a book written by unknown men who had no idea where the sun went at night. These books which are not allowed be questioned. Every science claims demands that it must be checked before it is accepted. Lets do that about the bible?
@Balstrome13 ай бұрын
No, you do not need faith at all in science. One can show exactly how first principles are true and then you can work from there to show what is true and what is false. Faith is not allowed not needed in science. And I challenge anyone reading this to show where science requires faith to achieve anything that it claims.

All religions? Satanism? Norse Sagas? Dreamtime in Australia? Btw, do you have any evidence that gods are real? How about evidence for evolution? One is accepted on faith alone, while the other has over 200 years of collected and tested evidence. I put it to you that you have never honestly tried to falsify your god. What would make your god not true. If you find such a thing, then it suggests that your god is not true. For example Problem of Evil, especially with natural disasters that affect non human animals. Why would God do that? How about the logical problems of the Omni's.They contradict each other. or the failure of prayer. Or "Slaves obey your Master"
@willthewhale80213 ай бұрын
Well, you leaned hard on the "they're both religions that use faith" approach, I'll give you that. You even pulled the whole "it takes more faith to believe something came from nothing" line.
