I’ve listened to a lot of pastor Joby’s sermons and the guy that says amen, says it pretty much all of the sermons. I look forward to hearing him. lol. God bless him. God bless these sermons.

Very true. Likewise, God is the only one who will ever truly understand or care. Which is too bad, really. Even amongst fellows, even the deepest aspects aren't truly recognized for more than a few minutes. Even then. Someone else's story won't be what drives you to keep your eyes on Christ. I wonder if it even ever comes across one of the lost and they choose based on that story. Why? God makes a personal appeal to each of us. That appeal is just as unique as you are. Though it kind of extinguishes the idea of sharing testimony.

Thank you, God, for your Grace and Mercy! My hubby and I continue to walk within this Grace as the physical church has deemed us unworthy to attend. Thank you for your online ministry so that lepers outside the gate such as us can worship God. We, like Paul, use our messes as messages. For it is not our scars but His that define who we are. The world may reject us but Christ has overcome the world and thru Christ so we too shall overcome. Praise God! ❤

@@ciaracavell2160 Here in Canada we had Bliss Tracy nuclear expert for Health Canada Radiation Protection Bureau who upon retirement studied a 4 year theology course at Carleton university. He must have found something in his Bible studies forgiving him for his misery inflicted upon those exposed to radiation he declared safe for he died a happy man. This is only one example and it is personal for me by Cosmos 954 a USSR nuclear satellite that 1978 burned up over northern Canada. He declared there be only only 2 years of harmful radiation which was insane but he still did well while those exposed have suffered. This happens all the time Jesus forgiving those deserving real punishment are favoured by the church and it is not just Bliss Tracy gets it good.

@@ralphkilloran8065 I think you are heavily misunderstanding God‘s forgiveness and mercy. If you have a change of heart, repent and turn away from your sin while asking God for forgiveness, He is faithful to forgive you because He is our heavenly father and He loves his children. HOWEVER that does not relieve you from the consequences of sin here on Earth. WE HAVE ALL fallen short of the glory of God and his righteousness which is why Jesus had to come and live the perfect life on our behalf, never sinning, and then die in our place. The blood of Jesus is sufficient to cover all sins of mankind! God is also just for the punishment of sin. All/any sin separates us from God’s presence and we are all in need of His grace and forgiveness.

Your point about being right early reminds me of Michael Burry, who foresaw the housing market crash years before it happened, only to be mocked and ridiculed for his predictions. It’s reminiscent of Noah building the ark-he was right all along, but it took 120 years for everyone else to realize it. Can you imagine standing firm on your convictions for that long? I don’t know if I have that kind of endurance, but I hope that if I’m ever tested, God will be my strength in those moments.

Should we view all Scripture as being inspired by God, (as we ought), including Paul’s writings, then it’s possible to consider his words and actions not only as teaching tools for how to live but also as examples of what to avoid. This aligns with the principle of correction found in Scripture itself: “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness.” -2 Timothy 3:16 (ESV) It’s not uncommon for the Bible to record events or words that serve as cautionary examples. For instance, the failures of kings, prophets, and even apostles like Peter (denying Jesus three times) are preserved in Scripture to remind us of human frailty and the need for God’s loving and abundant grace. Given that Paul’s letters often contradict the very teachings of Jesus Christ himself-I do hope you begin to take more of this stance-a Gospel stance, in your teachings. It is not good for the pastor to lead his congregation astray-away from the very teachings of Jesus Christ. I pray for your discernment. Paul’s writings and actions, at times often contrast with the humility, love, and the servant-heartedness our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and modeled. By using Scripture in this way-as both a guide to emulate, and a cautionary mirror-we stay focused on Jesus as the ultimate standard. Where others, including Paul, fall short, we can recognize the need to follow Christ’s teachings more closely. Your pastoral approach lacks discernment, and measuring all things against Paul-rather than Jesus’ life and words, reflects a heart fully committed Paul-not Jesus. I do hope week three’s sermon better reflects a heart towards God’s truths, and less towards Paul’s. Also-you’re not standing on a stage; you’re on an altar, if you want to do comedy hour-perhaps pick up a gig at the comedy zone, but the Word of God is not a joke, you are responsible for men’s souls and feeding the sheep. Seek the face God, pastor.

40:27 Paul NEVER said to beware of wolves in sheep’s clothing -Jesus is the one who warns the church of men like Paul… Paul is from the tribe of Benjamin: When Jacob was blessing his sons before his death, he made a prophetic statement about each of their tribes. Regarding Benjamin, Jacob said: "Benjamin is a ravenous wolf, in the morning devouring the prey and at evening dividing the spoil." -Genesis 49:27 (ESV) Who is the one who comes pretending to be one of us? Who says one thing-and does another? Who says he is of Jesus, but does another? Who says he loves Jesus, but teaches another? Who is the wolf? Who is the sheep?

I so appreciate the commentary from Charles and Joby around the 48 minute mark about the sheep, and I second the “somebody should write a book about that.” I want to love people better, but I find myself being easily frustrated/disillusioned/disappointed by people who I try to remember are image-bearers of God. I want to love people like Jesus-especially the ones who I find to be the most difficult. I don’t want to be an impatient and irritable grace-recipient who is slow to hand out grace or affection to others.

Amen Pastor Joby ! Im 55 now & I have men at church who call me " buddy" ' it bugs me - for sure. I call Christian men who have professed their complete surrender to the Lordship of Jesus Christ , received His free gift of Salvation & that alone makes us BROTHERS in Christ Jesus not buddies. Its a dis , a reduction to not recognize, acknowledge someones identity in Christ Jesus - We belong to the Creator of ALL things Heavens & earth. He is our Heavenly Father 💪🙏🔥❤️ I will, when The Holy Spirit leads me to speak to my Brothers in absolute love & humility so that He can speak this Truth to them & it will build & strengthen them. Together in Jesus Christ we are strong like many strands of rope bound together -
