Talking to Nessa is important upon entering The Caverns of Wrath. She offers new gems at this point. I highly recommend watching a beginners guide for PoE. Not a character guide but for the whole game. I know it seems like it spoils the experience, but trust me it really does make the first playthrough much more enjoyable. Like understanding how the skill system works. That alone will reduce a lot of frustration. Tip: If you accidentally lvl a gem, you can sell it to a Vendor with an Orb of Scouring and they will give you the same gem back -1 lvl. Doing this with an Ord of Regret will give you the gem back all the to lvl 1. Hope you continue to play and enjoy PoE!

I started playing POE about a month and half ago . Its as addictive as Diablo II . The gems in slots remind me of Final Fantasy 7 .

Chest pieces are indeed up to 6 slot... but that's in the late game. Items have socket limits based on their level. Seems like your biggest issue is that you need to use LINKED sockets to support your main damage abilities with support gems that increase the damage. You have several 3-link items but only 2 of your skills had a support gem at all, and it was only one each. (Zombie and Raging Spirits) Also, something is up with your graphics settings or corrupt install or something. Lot of things (including the Health Bars of your minions and the names of all the items/gems you mouseover) are showing as black or like a weird grey instead of white.

@@KingJerbear thanks for the info! I’ll take a look at how to improve the gem slotting and I’ll see what’s up with the graphics. Must be something with OBS because those colours didn’t look like that during gameplay. Cheers 🍻

Found out it’s my chroma key that’s making the colours weird.
