my advice is to go with a longer bigger board. I think starting with a medium sized board or a shortboard really hinders your progress and your confidence.

Yooo you and me started the same year and I also fell in love but moved back to my main domain in the mountains and missed surfing so much. Then 2023 I went to Australia with my buddies and after the snow season we surfed and it felt like I was starting as a beginner, and I pretty much was. I was a bit north in Lennox Heads. Shit was unreal

Hi Aaron, this video is perfect for helping me with my uni assignment right now. Following all your instructions I got a beta of -0.01817 (in our assignment task sheet they should be around 0.5-3) I just wanted to know your thoughts on the value I got. It was for Air New Zealand and I've tried all 3 ways to get a better value but it's all been -0.01817, it's really throwing me off what to say for the rest of my assignment, do you have ideas on why my value seems to be such an outlier? I have been unable to find answer to this important question about tokenization: Since the WEF wants us to: "Own Nothing and Be Happy" how will they facilitate this because it surely won't be done with our consent. I have a theory, I think that they will tokenize everything and then spring some legal mumbo jumbo saying that our not (through some under publicized method) refuse or opt out of our property being tokenized then we have unwittingly offered all of our assets up for "sale" by means of monitizing it as shares on an exchange of some kind... likely owned by the few largest global powers. So how will tokenization (in the United States at least) square with our Constitutional rights and property rights???

I believe very firmly that too much of anything is not good. For all things there has to be a balance. When companies work 7 days a week it costs the company more money one reason is because of no work/life balance. Everytime people quit you have to hire more people and it costs money to train people and when they get overworked and quit, it becomes a very expensive pattern.

How do you paddle on a short board of mid length board. I am a newbie trying to figure it out. My first board was fiberglass board 7ft but was not able to paddle out what so ever. I got a foam board and found it much easier to paddle out and maintain balance and was able to ride small waves. Any advice ? Cheers from Cali, USA

Great video! The progression was great to see, but my best peice of advice that comes to mind with your surfing is not that the wave has no power, you are trying to catch it too early. Don’t be afraid to wipeout and go over the falls, even when it’s bigger. If you catch the wave just as it’s breaking you will have the power to catch the wave even when it is 1ft, but that is something that comes with practice, so keep surfing and stay stoked brother 🤙🤙

Just with your annualised return, do you multiply the average return by the trading days despite not looking at a full year of returns? or should I just multiply the average return by the amount of trading days I'm looking at?

Hey great video! An easier way to find beta is to apply the excel in built function SLOPE(), where the known y's is the array of stock returns and known x's is the array of the market return.

Hello, why is 'ln' used instead of calculating the percentage monthly/weekly change?

I see you are simply doing ln(return at t/return at t-1) on a daily basis, shouldn't it be monthly which is the industry standard, so it should be ln(return at t/return at t-30) ??? I am new to this so please educate me :D
