They are the Gibb brothers. The oldest is Barry (middle), the other two are twins Robyn (left) and Maurice (right). They started performing & writing songs since they were little kids. Their voices blend like one. They are amazing! They donated all proceeds from this song to UNICEF.

You're interpretation is pretty accurate. From what I understand of the intention behind the song and the music video, the song is basically a satire of the type of person who see's themselves as "worldly". In the West we have a number of people who think that they are "worldly", when really they are just pretentious. The men just want to go on sex tourism to Asia, Africa etc while the women pretend to be "spiritual" when really they're just idiots. It's a type of person in the West who are really shallow and just using high-minded ideas like "I'm a citizen of the world!" as a cover for the reality that they're just a shallow, materialistic people. That's how I took it all anyway.

Thank you for not interrupting and commenting. I've liked and subscribed to your channel. No auto tune (wasn't around in the 70s) and no pitch correction, just three beautiful harmonious voices. This is the music of my era and at 69 years of age, I still love the Bee Gees. Check out Fanny Be Tender, How Deep is Your Love, Alone, and many others.
