My belief is I am what I am and do what I like and make no apologies to anyone for it, for decades I've seen pictures and clips of Mardi gras. I'd like to discuss with whomever the meaning of degrading and defacing yourself dressing like a clown wearing silly costumes and obnoxious make-up dancing around is a display of pride. A person that is comfortable within themselves does not mask themselves behind outlandish disguises. A proud person with inner pride fronts up well groomed dressed sharp and walks with head up, personly I truly believe the parade is due to evolve into displaying true inner pride through presenting yourself as a proud respectable person, making a spectical of yourself may be fun I get that but it's detracting from the festivals core meaning
