Thank you David, been a busy summer over here with very limited time to throw any videos together. It’s some massive kit, and that header size seems fairly average for that area! They’re 40ft headers, but two other farms I paid a visit to were running multiple 45ft headers.

To short a video jacob but interesting, very good soil by the looks, but did you know stones keep the soil warm at night, so dont understand why they are using stone pickers as the soil looks spot on, cheers .

Cheers Steve! I’ll hopefully have some longer videos coming soon. It is some brilliant soil hence the amount of veg growing, I’ve never seen anything on this scale before. I presume they’re just incredibly fussy about stones given the size of the operation.

Indeed, Case still use the steiger name for the wheeled ones, and the quadtrac name for the tracked machines.

Cheers David. I'm back in Shropshire now annoyingly so I'm missing all the action at home, although the potato planting down here is like nothing you'll see anywhere else, 16 tractors in one field... Hoping to catch some silage soon as I noticed a few have started around Penrith!

Very nice to see some spring work, looks fairly dry too, been up Cumbria today chasing Steam trains and the weather was terrible with fields stood in water, and the wind was enough to blow you of your feet ??? 🥶🌧🤔

It is a big bit of kit Steve, as you say everything just keeps getting bigger. It was a wet ish day down there, but this land is reasonably light so it was a lot drier than I expected.

No problem at all David, I am very slow myself at the moment, plenty going on. I do try with everything I visit film some ground level videos whilst I take photos for all who enjoy them. I have hopefully got some more to come, as it's just starting to get busy again in Shropshire, I'm not used to seeing so much farming in January!
