Hey Sal, how do you like the Luna? I have the same one 23m, with less than 10 or so flights on it. How soon did you tie in your tip steering? I'm not interested in acro but maybe a little more agility.

What’d you come from wing wise? Your prior wing didn’t have tip steering I thought the step before a Luna would be something like spyder type wing that has it? Thought the Luna was somewhat spicy like a sierraco
@salvaldivia60727 ай бұрын
@@tango_sierra8608 I was flying an Everest Cross before this, but it also had 2D steering. Certainly not as spicy but still a good wing in the B category.

The best practice (in my option) is making a line with marker across the mount and gopro “feet” so that you can reference the exact angle it was at before. From there you can make micro adjustments looking at those lines. After dialing it in perfect- etch a line with a scribe or knife and then you can remove the gopro as you please and always return to that perfect angle on the chase cam using those reference marks…. Disclaimer I have undiagnosed ocd lol

Thanks! I need to get back at it. I started putting out some shorts, but saw I had this one on Private. I was going to do something else with this footage but decided to just make it public. Greetings Sal! Great content on your channel. I have a Factory R with the same problem so I am thrilled and thankful you have led the way forward in making this video. The issue happened at 39 hours as well. I did not notice any oil leaking. One of the Carter screws came loose and then seized the engine as it lodged between the Carter support and flywheel. The only external observable sign was that there was aluminum dust on the outside of the engine (from the screw scraping against the flywheel before lodging). Question: I don’t think I lost much oil, but in your research what oil do I need to put back into the bearings? My Carter support seal was separated so I will have to replace the cement gasket on it (thanks for the name). I wonder why lock tight was not placed on these screws as they hold the whole weight of the engine and spinning prop to the Carter support that connects to the frame via the engine mounts. Thanks for your awesome work here and your great content. Your flying is inspirational!

Any tips on these? I’m a smidge smaller than you on the wingover size trying to learn myself. (In a spyder 3)
@salvaldivia607211 ай бұрын
I'd say read the ppg Bible for in depth or Theo de Blic. Overall, weight shift and timing is most important. Better to pull early rather than later as you can become weightless. Keep some outside brake pressure to avoid collapses. Learn how to manage pitch / surges. You can manage energy other ways but learning how to exit straight is good practice. It does come with some caveats with timing on the balloon and surge afterwards.

@@andreafly-p5o I can do them on my 23m as well. Technique is even more important on bigger wings to get them. They have a tendency to not want to roll as much. Lots more weight shift required.
