Do I need to drain it twice to get the fluid clean? Or do I wait a while and drain it again?

I would suggest buying about 15 quarts. That transmission holds about. You do exactly what you did and after you've ran around the block a couple times you've already mixed all that old with a new you just put in.... So waiting a month or 6 months is nonsensical. Drive it and warm it up. Take it in the garage and do it again. 4 and 1/2 five more quarts driving around the block a couple times. Pull it back in the garage again and do it a third time. The third time the fluid should be pretty clean.

I have never sat in a tree stand always on the ground or in a blind and froze. Last year my son hunted with me and he got cold quickly and didn't want to hunt. This year we will be warm. Does that make me less of a man?

So we did this and its still just clicking, we have dont a new battery, oil change, new spark plug, new starter, new magnito, and still its just clicks and doesnt starts
@ablgarage2 ай бұрын
If your getting a click it's either a bad battery, bad connection, bad starter, or bad starter solenoid. Does you engine turn freely? Depending on the engine it may need the valves adjusted. Some have automatic compression releases and if the valves get out of adjustment the engine will be very hard to spin. So it could be that also. Try pulling the spark plug out and see if the engine will spin then. I have a video on how to adjust the valves also. Hope this helps

How did you diagnose it was the solenoid before replacing
@ablgarage2 ай бұрын
You have power on one side of the starter solenoid and when you turn the key it clicks and if you check with a meter you still only have 12v on one side of the solenoid. The clicking should close contacts in the solenoid and send power to your starter. Hope that helps

did you leave the old tube in the tire?
@ablgarage3 ай бұрын
No. There was no tube in this tire. They don't come with tubes when new. They are tubeless tires. But when they leak air it's much cheaper to just put a tube in it then it is to replace the tire.
@shemacferguson61903 ай бұрын
If it doesn't matter which sides the red wires go on, why did you say match it up exzctly.
@ablgarage3 ай бұрын
Whenever you take something apart to replace it, you put it back the exact same way it came apart. In any situation. I'm just pointing out it doesn't matter which red wire goes where In this case. One comes from the battery and the other goes to the starter. They don't matter. Your starter solenoid is just a big switch when power from the ignition is applied the two red wires get connected. Hopefully that clears things up.

@ablgarage4 ай бұрын
They don't come with tubes in them when they are new. They are tubeless tires. But the tires dry rot or get holes in them and it's cheaper to just put a tube in them rather than buy a new tire. This wheel and tire had no tube in it.

This is a lifesaver. I have a huskee that is pretty much exactly like this lawn mower. Only problem is the bolts holding the solenoid won't come out because the nuts are stuck. Can't get a socket on it because the solenoid blocks it. But I took off way more than I needed to to access it.

@ablgarage5 ай бұрын
I would think it would be the brake/clutch switch. It has to be pushed in to start the mower. You would get a clicking noise of some kind of it was the starter solenoid.
